If you want an answer to the question of "Is Bloodborne harder than Elden Ring?" well consider this: The Orphan of Kos was considered the hardest boss in all SoulsBorne for years... And Bloodborne came out in what? 2015?

    • @AroAceGamer
      @AroAceGamer 2 роки тому +6

Marget, the Ill Omen is like Orphan of Kos x2 and he's the first required boss in the game, which makes Father Gascoigne, the first required boss in Bloodborne, seem like a standard enemy in Elden Ring.

    • @thepanzerofthelake732

@@AroAceGamer Personal Opinion: I honestly think Marget is way easier than Kos simply due to the mechanics of the game. Due to the way Bloodborne simply is with input delay you have to become a fucking Clairvoyant just to find out what you're supposed to do. Marget has a lot of uh... Elden Ring is both the hardest and easiest Souls game of them all, it all depends on how you choose to play.
If you decide to not use summons and fight the enemies as if it's a normal soulsborne game then it is most definitely the hardest, but if you use summons ect... Then in that case it's easier

The thing about Elden ring is that it expect you to explore the world and gain new gear and levels before you start taking on boasses with a cutscene, the old fuck on the bridge.

Longest time on a boss? Two or three hours probably. Ebrietas and Malenia are the main two that come to mind in that regard. Most bosses aren't really that hard though and only take a single try or two.
Btw you should still play Elden Ring as it is amazing. I've put 260 hours into it so far myself.

I tell people who are frustrated with their first Souls game is that you just have to"find your rhythm" and then fun factor starts to kick in. In practice, that means figuring out where the dodge i-frames are.
My first Souls game was DS2 and within the first hour I thought the game was stupid. It wasn't until I dodged cleanly for the first time and killed the enemies that way that it started to click. The games feel impossible and poorly designed until you figure out that you can just dodge THROUGH attacks.

    • @mistman_161

I saw a video that explained how Dark Souls makes the mistake of giving players a shield in the beginning (at least with the default class which is what most players will choose their first and possibly only time). This makes us consider it a fundamental part of the game, encourages us to constantly block and discourages dodging. And as you've said, dodging is the actual, fun and "correct" way to play From Soft games. Bloodborne was the first game to fix the shield "issue".

    11:10 I spent 152 attempts beating Malenia's first phase 1v1
With attempts ranging from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, I spent about 3.8 to 4.5 hours beating her first phase
The reason I dont count her second phase is because my first attempt I got her to half health and her second phase is _boring_ so I used a Mimic Tear and beat her two attempts later. (My first attempt of that died on her first phase)

TBH Elden Ring has a lot more hand holding details in it like a map system to hint at places to go and check out and they basically enough mapped places to explore and detour to go overpower yourself for other parts of the game without doing some grinding. It's also the most multiplayer accessible of the games, where you aren't limited to a few of the item to go summon a friend or stranger for help, but can get materials to make an infinite amount of it to enable it. TBH it's a game more favored for someone who'd rather adventure than do the main content first, and hides a million secrets all over that anyone could just miss by not feeling like checking a simple corner. This actually happens to people more often than you'd think when one person has something someone else has never seen even after over 100 hour playthrough that ended up beating the game. Bloodborne does something a little more rough to players, and that's making healing items such as blood vials be something to farm for if you get hit a lot, so you end up looking at some places you're comfortable with a little more than a lot of other places you'd like to be visiting more for the sake of checking out and improving yourself. Otherwise 69% of Bloodborne is mandatory where as 85-93% of Elden Ring *isn't* really mandatory. Literally that much of Elden Ring serves really more of a suggestion in comparison than just doing the main important things.

I'm a big fan of From Software's games ("Bloodborne" and "Sekiro" are my top three) and I can say that you don't have to be a "true" gamer to enjoy the games. If I died to a boss fifty times I'd just go and grind to level up and upgrade my weapons. But I still had fun grinding and I wanted to overcome the bosses so I could go deeper into the game and its beautiful settings and learn more about them. Some games aren't fun to grind (the "Final Fantasy" series) but they have a big payoff in storytelling so you grind to overcome a obstacle. For other games grinding is what's fun and the story doesn't matter (the "Diablo" games).

The reason why running away in a fight is considered a bad idea in Bloodborne is because of two things:
First, the mechanic of Blood Healing, where, when an opponent hits you, you have a limited time with which to get your health back by striking the enemy and bathing in their blood, thereby encouraging players to man up and charge forth, rather than cower. You basically lose MORE health trying to flee than by plunging your weapon into the bad guys; this game mechanic actively _PUNISHES_ you for being a chickenshit coward that runs from a fight, while greatly rewarding those who stand their ground. Its purposefully made intense and intimidating so that when you finally manage to beat a boss after getting murked 99 fucking times, having undergone a major level grind to earn more Blood Echoes to level up, you feel a profound sense of satisfaction... before remembering that there are _more_ boss fights, and this was just the FIRST ONE (no shit, I kept losing to the Cleric Beast many times and had to repeatedly grind through hordes of Yharnamites and Werewolves just to be able to get past the FIRST BOSS ENEMY). And thus an addiction to acquiring more power and better weapons is fostered.
Second, one of the major themes of the game is "Hunting and Overcoming Your Nightmares." They designed the enemies to look horrifying, to make horrifying sounds, to move insanely fast, and to have an even more ludicrous reach, so that the challenge "seems" impossible (again, for those whose first instinct is to run rather than to fight; cowardice is considered a sin in this game, especially in the eyes of "FromSofties," a term which refers to the more toxic elements in the Soulsborne fandom that would be considered obsessive completionists in any other game, actively looking for more fights, more challenges, more loot, higher levels, and so on, while angrily roaring at and griefing weaker players who just wanna have fun, labeling them "Filthy Casuals" or "Free EXP," kinda like that one guy from that World of Warcraft-based South Park episode called "He Who Has No Life"). The whole 'disability' quote with regards to the Witch of Hemwick is because she is considered one of the easiest in the entire game to beat, due to her slow footspeed and reliance on both summoning minions to defend her and turning herself invisible to get away. And Micolash is an annoying cunt who kills any hope of a fast and easy fight by... well, Max0r explains it best, running away until he randomly chooses to stop and hit you with an insta-kill attack.

11:18 Longest I've ever spent on one boss is 20 hours, non-consecutively, and that was Soul of Cinder, the last boss of Dark Souls 3. Malenia is already the boss I've spent the longest on in Elden Ring, and I've only spent 5 hours on her so far. I've only gotten to her second phase eight times, and six of those were yesterday and the day before, after I'd had a week long break from the game. Every other boss in Elden Ring has only required five attempts at worst (and that was the Fire Giant, who is kinda BS in the first place), with most of them being beaten in three tries or less.
Funnily enough, I beat the Godskin Duo on my first attempt, with my spirit summon only acting as a distraction as I slaughtered the first of the two. I'd overinflated their difficulty in my mind because I've watched a number of really good players die to them a lot, but I'm not doing a challenge run.

contrary to poular oppinion most of these are harder than elden ring. the reason is simple elden ring is open world so you can just avoid a boss that is annoyingg at the moment and gather any equipment. most other souls games also have features that make them much harder. ex bloodbornes lack of turtling or ds2's decreasing health bar for each death. elden ring is relatively easy.

You have OP builds in Elden Ring Like bloodbuilds with River of blood , you have OP spells , ashes and Ghost ashes Like Tiche or mimic . And now Play bloodborne ng+7 Bosses Like Lawrence or Kos ...and now Looking for OP builds in BB . Bloodbuilds in BB is Trash and Not OP , ashes Not exist , other OP weapons Not exist . So , now Beat all Bosses in Elden Ring and in bloodborne, and than you cry more in bloodborne as in Elden Ring . Im ng+ 12 in Elden Ring , all Bosses are in a few minutes down with bloodbuild rivers of blood , im Level 440. In bloodborne i have max Level 544 and i have No Chance to Beat a Boss in few minutes in ng+7. Ludwig , Kos ...Lawrence ..Amygdala .

The longest i have spent on a boss was 2 years (caus i rage quitted) it was on Dark souls 1 Smough and Ornstein. Those mfs got me to the point where i was biting my controller😅😂
Fortunatly, one day i got them and moved on with the next bosses🤺

Bloodborne is just a more edgy version of Elden Ring. Therefore I believe that Bloodborne is better.

    Ok
So you quit Elden Ring because you couldn't kill the two enemies meant to be way too tough for the early game in order to encourage you to, respectively, go somewhere else and explore for Tree Sentinel and run past enemies you dont wanna fight for Gatefront Troll? Huh?
