- Out having fun with dad, learning the new plane we just finished building. Calibrated the AOA and did some sight seeing in California's northern Sacramento valley.
These videos are for our own entertainment and way to share with family and friends. If you happen to stumble on this channel and find them enjoyable, glad to have you!
looks top
So cool, Jason!! Glad to see you guys up flying! Congrats on completing Phase 1!!
Thanks John! Hope you get your Kitfox back in the air soon.
I have never seen flaps like those. Looks like they could even provide lift.
Hi Marc, they're called flaperons. They act as both the flap and aileron. And you are correct, they provide more lift and not as much induced drag as a standard flap design. Takes a while to get used. They're really responsive but you can't just add flaps and drop it in with a high rate of descent. At least in my experience. I find myself using a flatter approach in the Kitfox, or slipping it if a steep approach is needed.
Cool! Don’t buzz any houses for an “inspection pass” in that thing. 😅
If I have an invite, all bets are off 😁
@@Jason-Black: An invite? To violate regs? Okay 👍
Trent is a friend. Just having fun with you. Cheers.
@@Jason-Black: I love Trent’s videos. He seems like a really cool guy. I’m just having fun too. 😅
What's the preferred Kitfox forum out there, if any? I want to dig for some info. Thanks.
@@lovetopew9054 The only one I’ve seen is teamkitfox.com. There’s also an active Facebook group.
What engine did y’all put in it
@@parkerdickens94 It has the Rotax 915is.
