Wow! I heard I Can See Clearly...on radio a few minutes ago, while I was listening to ppl pontificate, (but technically in good faith) about Ye in my earbuds...and that song is wonderful, timeless, positive and oh so appropriate for what we are currently going thru with...to free our speech or continue to muzzle our speech...because the lyrics 'speak' to how a lota ppl feel now..."We can see clearly now, gone are the bad feelings that keep US down, here is the rainbow we have been praying for" I changed a few small words but great song, great lyrics he sings and then, the next choice of videos was this one...and he's in my home city! I haven't lived there since the 90s but still home to me and where JC is singing at jumped out at me and cuz I'm detecting a 'Grove type of vibe' there.

Mr Cliff I'd like to say a massive thank you for giving me a fond memory of my dad telling a stories about seeing you perform in the UK back in the day. The joy on his face reminiscing telling me the stories & him singing to a few of your songs I'll always cherish. My dad sadly passed away 31.07.23 age 83 I miss him so much I sung Many Rivers to Cross to my dad on his death bed it brought a smile to his face & he squeezed my hand tight acknowledging that he heard me. Thanks again Mr Cliff for the happy memories I have of my dad.❤

Strange journet today for me: 1- watched first "Jesse Green - Nice And Slow (1976)" today and read about Jesse had worked with Jimmy Cliff who is new artist to me (shame on me ! I'm +50 ) . 2- in searching for Jimmy Cliff on UA-cam came across "Jimmy Cliff - I Can See Clearly" recorded in 1971. 3- Followed to here , this song from 2021 by Mr Cliff. It is a snowy day outside here, no human around me and reality of stock market..., so this song really is fitting and i understand it , Human Touch. I am happy Mr Cliff is alive, wish him health and lasting happiness; the same thing that he has spread to others by his art.

@@centerfold8 it was in Cape Town. Most of his music was banned from radio, he probably would not have been allowed to play here. But the authorities did not know who Jimmy Cliff was, so he got in you can say " through the back door " !!
Also I have many, many of his LPS, on vinyl.
A lot of people don't Know JIMMY CLIFF been broken down barriers long time, He the first reggae to perform in Africa and south AFRICA in particular.. great 😃👍 man,
A friend of mine got onto the stage, almost the entire concert in Cape town, all those yrs ago. He got some great photos of Jimmy performing. Must go scratch around, see if I can find some of those photos !
