Trevor I got around to using the Lighting Features; I really really really had a great time playing around with it. I try and take a week of downtime between working on new projects at this point in my adventure to allow time for learning and not feeling completely overwhelmed.
This was really awesome as an editing tutorial and I’m going to continue to work these options, thank you for making me aware.

I really hope CapCut won't go anywhere because it's the best thing that ever happened to me after 10 years of using Vegas pro/movie studio. I just finished making a fan made Star wars modern trailer trailer in CapCut. also your videos are good!

@@TrevorJonescreator indeed. I just posted a 25th anniversary trailer for the Star Wars the phantom menace using CapCut. Though with Hitfilm pro which is like after effects. But yeah it's great what your doing for the CapCut community. CapCut PC is really underrated.

I love the Video - another very good one. Maybe Trevor, you could take a minute and do a special for MAC user. Many tools ( like spaces ) are not available - or - I am not able to activate them. Tips and Tricks and Settings ( VPN ) would be very, very helpfull.
I'm on a Mac and everything in my desktop videos was filmed using my Mac for the screen recordings. It's just that all features aren't available in all countries unfortunately. You can try VPN, but I don't think it has worked for most who'd tried it.
Great vid. Handnt used blue filter for background that way before and indefinitely got a use the relight now.

Love,love your channel. I was wondering if you can help me with Capcut. I have 4k 30fps videos from GoPro 11. When I view the videos on my computer they play fine but when I import them to cap cut any video that has voice does not match. Any suggestions?
Hmmm. Have you tried messing with the frame rate of your project in CapCut in settings? Also try a restart of camera, a new clip, and a restart of capcut.
Hi there. I always love your videos and Capcut seems amazing. I have the pro subscription, but I don't see an option under audio to enhance voice. I only have normalize loudness and reduce noise. Any thoughts?
Features vary by region. I'm in the US, but other countries will have different features unfortunately.

Trevor I've been trying to shoot outside. Any tips on how to shoot a video on a cloudy day.
Add a little light if possible to catch the highlights in your eyes and fill the shadows - any small, cheap light will work.
Also, to find the "best" light on an ugly day... grab your phone in selfie mode, point it at your face and slowly spin. Look at your eyes. The light is pretty spread out but is coming from SOMEWHERE. It will usually look best if your are facing that direction.

I’m just using the default layout. It’s very likely that you’re not using the desktop version. There is an online version as well as a mobile version which look very different. You need to download the desktop version. Let me know if that was your issue!
So many people say, you shouldn’t start with cap cut for video editing as it‘s an unprofessional program. Do you think you can become a good video editor only with capcut?
Absolutely. Yes, it’s a simple, easy to learn program, but it does everything you need and more. In the past entire movies were made taping pieces of film together. CapCut does 10,000x more than that. It’s not about the app: it’s about the creator. AND once you learn to really edit, most of the skills cross over to any of the “pro” apps.
Those who think you “can’t really edit” with something like CapCut are simply ignorant.
You can become an incredible editor with virtually ANY editing program. CapCut just happens to be really easy to learn and use.
At its core, editing is just putting one shot after another. Learning to do that with art, story, style and emotion: that’s a lifelong pursuit that has almost nothing to do with the app.

How do you scrub the audio? All of these awesome features are almost a waste if I can’t hear the audio 1 frame at a time! Is it a setting?
Why did you highlight everything to make a compound clip to insert transition, verses just inserting the transition at a cut point?
Because there was more than 1 video track on the right. I didn't need to merge the front clip with them, just the clips to the right. Either way would have worked the same.

Hi trevor, I can't see the blur optimisation option showing up on my pc. What to do ? It has applied maximum amount of blur to the video.
So mad there's no search bar in CC anymore. Also no stars to add effects to fav.
I just confirmed in the desktop US version for Mac, 3.8.0, there are search bars for effects, filters, transitons, text and EVEN FONTS! There are stars still for effects but not transitions or filters.
Hey Trev ave gat a request...You recently taught us on How to Do tracking...add say am gud at that bt the only problem am having is like how do you animate a text that someone send you .and how to do put a respone of a massage..just like the recent video Ryan's tryhan did of Billie Eilish...
Several ways, but one way is to screen shot actual texts. Change a friends name to Billie Eillish and text back and forth whatever you want to say. You could screen record that or screen shot it. Easier may be to use the text bubble feature in capcut. Put text on timeline. Click on it. in top right select text > templates. In search bar type "text bubble" and lots of options pop, including an iphone looking bubble you can easily add text to.
when you click and drop the blur effect, i cant edit it as you did.. to make it less blurry. is this a pro version?

You have to do it manually with text - it only transcribes speech, not singing. I even tried removing the music and keeping just the singing - still couldn't do it.
I have a question I havent found the answer in on of your videos yet.
I record with 3 audio tracks, one for game and microphone, one for microphone and one for the game. Is there an option in CapCut where I can lower only the volume of for example the microphone and not of the game? Everytime I click on the audiotrack button it lowers the volume of all audio tracks!
Great question! Right click, choose extract audio. Duplicate it for the number of audio tracks you have. Right click on each track and select Audio Track > Track X. Bam. You can adjust them all individucally.

I think you need to download the free version and get the pro version within the app. But the pro version is only available in some countries right now, so if you don't have the option for the pro version, it's probably not available in your country. I did search for a direct link for the pro version for you, since I'm in the USA, but I could not find a direct link. Sorry!

The future? I have no inside scoop, but I'd bet $1,000 CapCut and TikTok aren't going anywhere. It's too big of a market here in the US. They'll figure it out.
And no, it's not a professional program. It's a basic program that easily does a lot stuff that is much more complicated in the "pro" apps. But it's all 90% of people posting on UA-cam and others socials will ever need.
