- Welcome to our second episode of Bike Cave where MTB Downhill legend Steve Peat gives us an exclusive tour of his cave!
Check out the extensive collection of mountain bike bikes and custom helmet memorabilia Peaty has racked up in his 20+ years as a pro Downhill racer, who better to help with the tour than our very own legendary downhill MTB journalist Steve Jones, (aka "that guy from EMBN").

Where is Doddy? This is right up his alley.
Steve was already up doing a feature on ebikes so it makes sense he did it and not doddy
As a 50 yo guy mtbing (xc/dh and now emtb) since I was a teen this was a great watch down memory lane. Steve was a hero for uk mtb riders of my generation. 👌
not only in the UK
@@art_ry really i never knew that !! 😂
I’m in my 50’s but from Canada, and can say that Steve was a hero here as well. Great watch this one was.
Absolute legend, one of the main reasons I started riding, between him and Rob Warner!
Rob Warner was one of the reasons I wanted to get an STD. I figured it must offer some kind of advantage when racing.
Where is Doddy? #freedoddy
LOVED this! That V10 is stunning. Such a good interview, it was like being a fly on the wall with two buddies talking.
My hero growing up. I'm pushing 40 now and he still is 🤙
Rode the chair lift with him a couple times during DH practice at the NORBA national at Seven Springs, PA in 1997. It had been raining just before practice, he was so fast on the mud-covered rocks and roots, and went through the rock garden faster than all the other pros. I've been a fan of his ever since.
Amazing video wish it was 10x longer
A great talk through Steve's history, and nice to see some of the stuff we have been involved with hanging on the wall, cheers Joe.
Takes me back to the sprung videos. Watch one then straight out on my bike for the rest of the day!
Woah! That '09 Santa Cruz is a beauty! Time to make with the cobweb brush Peaty my boy!
Thanx for uploading this you guys!
I was at that 09 race in Canberra. The only thing better than being there is re-watching the race with Rob Warner going absolutely bonkers.
Absolute legend and very down to earth and approachable, saw him at Thredbo recently with the syndicate
Definitely be good see more of Peaty!🤙🏻
Epic video :) Absolute legend, inspired a generation!
Awesome feature on a legend,Jonesy!
What a legend. The saying goes "it ain't hoarding if it's organised"... the only things hoarded here are the memories, and who wouldn't wanna hoard so many good ones?!
Such a nice guy!!! Respect legend!! 👊I wish i could drink a beer with him talking about DH and his carreer.
🍻🍻Steve!
I was there in '09 in Canberra. Loved it.
The V10 was such a good looking bike.
87, straight to 94? We're gonna need another film Steve...
Loved the 2005 Fort William helmet. I'd like to see more of this.
Definitely watch Peaty's movie Wont Back Down. It's absolutely awesome 🔥🔥🔥
Its because ot peaty and warner i got in to downhill all them many years ago thank you so much peaty your a legend 🤘
Total legend!
A true legend right here. Certainly made mtb'ing more popular. I remember this guy frim back in the day along with Rob. Certainly had me hooked
#prayfordoddy
Peaty’s V10 is an absolute weapon.
Living legend! 🤘
Fantastic video!
Love to see these old classic bikes and there history. BTW I thought the chrome helmet was best :)
Steve Peat freaking legend 😍
The black white and gold v10 they showed I used to own it was Steve pears test frame signed by him too I’ve sold it now but to own that bike at 16 I was on top of the world
Hero. Peaty is the man!
I was watching peaty exit the rock garden in Canberra I remember thinking how much faster he was going compared to everyone else ,he had a big dust cloud following him, he sure made the big travel work through that section
legend 🏆
Absolute legend being humble.
Steve is My Downhill Hero...In German we say:Geile Sau!!!!
Awesome rider and nice guy
Legend.
#MTBLegend!! Greetings from Brazil
Steve is like the Ric Flair of DH
Love raw brushed AL bikes
Legend
I'd love to see a Steve vs Rob on retro bikes
I just want to have a brew at his pub
legend
Niiiice! Now that u spoiled us, Let‘s us see part II & III 😬
💯legend 🤙
Would love to see his Kona / Iron Horse from 94/95/96 but I suspect it broke long, long ago 🤣
Does anyone else think the host looks like Data from Star trek? :D
There’s a roach in the ashtray on the game table🎉🤘🐸
not a roach but I suspect it may be a cone pick/scraper lol
You didn't show the tiger guarding all that lot!
Heh, the Muddy Fox, it wasn't just any old steel, it was the 1980's hot material of the time, "Chromoly"!! 🤣
Nice to see buuuuut i would like to see the cave and the Garage itselves and and and.. not just the bikes and helmets...
Nice lodi
Peaty made me want a orange bike Palmer made me like intense cycles bike. But missy giove made me want the cannondale she rode
More evidence that GMBN and EMBN will amalgamate. EMBN is too small to stand alone.
Imteresting video, shame there's not much banter between them though.
No Lts or Lobo..Denied!😂
Try Kirchzarten 95 another name I think Kitly ?
They call Greg the GOAT, Steve's the LEGEND.....Ha !
Dead set MTB Legend.
When is GMBN/GMBN Tech finally going to merge with EMBN? GMBN has had enough cross over episodes already...
Wooow
#where’sdoddy
Lookin like a msm
Go playing in the woods, that’s what I say
🦵end
Well I don't know, telling an ex world champ that he had 3.5cm less that some other dude back in the day, and then you show us his dirty old helmet . . .
Steve Jones is the biggest joker in MTBing, is he still stealing parts from brands like he use to at dirt.
What a legend steve is what a top bloke goat
