    Oh hey, I have one of these! Small correction though: The adapter Sigma made is for PS1, and most arcade shops in Japan like Try, Tops, Mak Japan, etc. did stock them alongside the 9000TB, for 4000 yen (4200 yen w tax). The AV7000 usually sold with the 9000TB, but it seems they've stopped manufacturing both of them now, having made a newer version of the 9000TB. The newer version doesn't appear to have a speed dial or the "SUPER PRO STICK" branding.
    As for the Playstation adapter, I bought mine off Y!JP used but I've seen them occasionally pop up on Surugaya over the years. I can use mine on my PC with a PS1 to USB adapter as well as the PS1 adapter.
    Kind of a shame there's a serious lack of stock sticks out there with Seimitsu parts. I remember owning the EX-SE which was full Seimitsu at one point but that was over 10 years ago now.

      Hi Elixir, do you have the reference or Japanese name of this adapter ? I am looking for it , I have an AV7000. Thanks

      @@noureddinedaira Mak Japan shows what it looks like, I don't think I can post links here but, it's called プレステコード officially.
      I have also seen them for sale on Surugaya (search for コントロールBOX コントローラー∑9000TB用ケーブル), and they pop up for sale once or twice a year. If you search for シグマ電子 in Surugaya and set sold out (品切れ) to ON, you can see what they have sold in the past. make sure you're using their Japanese site and not their weird English counterpart website. If you can make an account there and set up a Tenso address, you can have them ship to that address, and then to your address. Alternatively, you can probably find an online site like FromJapan who can simply buy from there for you.
      プレステコード = playstation cord
      コントロールBOX = control box (supergun)
      コントローラー = controller
      ∑9000TB用ケーブル Sigma 9000tb use cable
      シグマ電子 = Sigma Denshi
      Y!JP or Surugaya are probably your best bet. BEEP in Akihabara might stock them too - I know they have stocked the AV7000 and 9000TB combo in the past. But it seems like they've been discontinued now, in favour for the Σ1AV supergun and Σ3TB arcade stick (I personally don't have any experience with these. but browsing around, it doesn't seem like they made any kind of console adapters for them). Anyway I'm basically just rambling now, so I hope this helps.

    Very nice channel mate! I mod most of my sticks as well. I used to mod DC sticks for the 3s community back in the early 2000’s, they’re such a pain to get Sanwa part in there aren’t they... :/ This is a great stick. I currently use a ‘Fighting Stick PC’ for my PC Engine and I modded it with an LS-32 because the stock one wasn’t that great. It seems VERY similar to this Sigma stick. It comes apart the same same way with 2 interlocking metal shells and it also has surface mounted holes for the stick mounting. To be fair I think LS-32 surface mounted it just the right height, when I had countersunk ones on my Astro City cab I found them too stubby, JLF’s obviously need to be countersunk, but LS32, perfect!

      I just did the same to my Fighting Stick PC, but I also had to drill an inch wide hole at the bottom or else the LS-32 would scrape the bottom.

      @exmosquito 4 роки тому

      Review1316USA Eric Wiley yeah that was a problem. There is no new to to drill a hole though, I just put a small dent in the base. It’s also lower than the rubber feet so it doesn’t rub on a surface. imgur.com/a/UTjXBxd

    The height of the ls-32 on these seems to be the same as on old Capcom arcade cabinets control panels such as the Capcom Status and New Concept 1&2, no mounting plate, just 4 screws for use with the flat mounting plates from Seimitsu/Sanwa

    man that's a beautiful design. its a shame that it only gets harder to find options to fit the ls-32 (and that there isnt a version with the form factor of the ls-56 and the jlf), its such a nice balance between speed and control.

    I did not expect an episode on a Supergun-intended stick. Extremely cool and interesting,.
    Are you going to cover an episode on a notable stick that used western parts like IL/Happ? Such as the MAS stick? I'm curious since I never had as much experience with IL/Happ parts in comparison. I'd understand if your main interest is stuff with Japanese style parts but it'd still be neat I think.

    i want your honest opinion please....your opinions and thoughts and criticism is greatly valued.
    I recently bought a x-arcade tank stick for all my retro gaming and i like it alot but all my friends say that arcade stick is garbage and that i wasted my money. Did i do a bad investment? Is it really that bad?...i like it ,but i am new to this arcade stick a stuff, and i want your honest opinion no sugar coating either...just your honest opinion.
    Thank you very much.

    • @ScanlineCity
      @ScanlineCity  4 роки тому +1

      First off, if you like it and have fun with it - that’s all that matters. As far as my opinion of x-arcade sticks I think they are decent but with a few upgrades can be great assuming you like the button layout. I have a few of the single player versions upgraded with Industrias Lorenzo buttons and joystick. Not much money and easy to install. With these upgrades they are great sticks, especially if you like that straight across classic street fighter 2 button layout. Do the upgrades and you will be rockin - they sell them on Focus Attack, Paradise Arcade, and I believe Arcade Shock is selling in near future. BTW do you have the single or two player version?
