We all know that there's no original creator for recipes...but flat out copying another person's voice, personality etc & deny knowing that person you're copying from is messed up. Someone said these next few years are the years of truth & exposure.

The point of the soft voice is that nara did not speak that way until she started to follow onezwa further not only did she copy all her content ideas she is copying her demeanor and voice tone which is way more than just having similar recipes. It's obviously deliberate. There was a switch in the way nara did her content originally versus now and it has everything to do with onezwa content. The real issue however is nara lying saying she didn't follow her didn't know her when she is outright copying her

You know what is also happening here some reverse colourism so for example when people keep pushing the narrative that light skin people think they’re better than other people and blah blah blah he then push the narrative that because this woman is black and South African that this woman thinks she’s above her and can still content from her or whatever else they’re trying to put on it
I do get a person being offended by somebody stealing what they believed to be their intellectual property but she doesn’t own the voice she doesn’t own the aesthetic of her videos or does she own anything to do with her videos

Funny enough I follow another woman who makes exactly the same content and speak soon exactly the same tone of voice.
Team Onezwa!!! Women like Nara NEVER have a personality of their own. She knew exactly what she was doing. The amount of people being willfully ignorant simply because they like Nara is agitating.
I am starting to think its an identity problem for nara. Onezwa is documenting her life as a rural girl who needs to cook from scratch cause getting to town to find shops is an inconvenience . this is who she is and she is making videos of it. Naras life is completely different. Her lifestyle, she can order food and have it delivered on her doorstep but she chooses to copy the rural life of an authentic black girl😢 and then she refuses to credit onezwa
The straw that broke the camel’s back for me in this whole discourse is the fact that nara smith told a blatant LIE about supposedly not knowing who Onezwa is. She is insanely weird for that.
However the most sobering thing about this reality is that nara smith will just continue on her way knowing this whole conversation will eventually die out in a few weeks as most controversy inherently does WITHOUT a single dent to her ‘cult following’ influence. Like one of the reactors said in the video, people just choose to be “intentionally obtuse”. Stupidity is a decision which most people do not lose sleep over.

I came into this situation on the fence because I find the style of both of these women different personally. I believe both have their own place in what they do and there is enough room for everyone to post the content they want. What made me feel more for Onezwa was how terrible these Nara Smith fans have treated this situation. Calling Onezwa bitter and jealous when the reason this whole thing happened is because they started attacking Onezwa first calling her a copycat. Nara Smith fans created this whole discourse and now they are dragging a smaller creator because she got frustrated and decided to defend herself. I hate dealing with large fandoms and their delusional sheep follower mentality. They give the person they are a fan of a bad name. I don't watch either of these ladies, but I'll probably start watching Onezwa. You cant deny that it's weird that Nara would post the same recipe idea after Onezwa did.
I like your take. I was also on the fence, but once I learned that Nara changed her voice, music, and posts the same recipe Onezwa posted shortly after, I realized that there's too many coincidences.
I 100% agree that both ladies can exist. Because I'm not a fan of tradwife content, I personally wouldn't take it personally if I was in Onezwa's shoes. Onezwa's content is more authentic, and I personally prefer it. I watch other content creators who live the same lifestyle as Onezwa.
Nata Smith do not make meals from scratch. Her ish is store bought. She not about to milk any goat's or go outside and pick fruits and vegetables. Not in those dresses.
What i love about this story is that it was Nara's fans who exposed the copying . they insinuated that the original is the one who is stealing or taking ideas from Nara only to be proven very wrong. So for those who say their content is different, evidently not as pointed out by her fans. Thanks to them for exposing Nara. I waited for part 2 to share my opinion. My first impression was that Nara took inspiration from content creators like Onezwa. Then I learned that Nara changed her voice and music and had a pattern of posting similar recipes after Onezwa's posts. Nah 😂, calling all of those actions coincides is delusional 😂.

She IS on UA-cam. When she stopped posting to TikTokToe, Nara went on her YT and started “getting inspiration” from her content here on YT. Nowhere Onezwa has gone Nara hasn’t followed her for more “inspiration”.

I am married have no kids right now and still find it difficult to cook for myself and my husband does most of the cooking. I just discovered that watching these content help me see just how lazy i am, and i am beginning to work on myself. Alot of women who truly love Nara love her not because of her skin color but because they can relate to her contents. I won’t watch a content from the other lady cos there is no way i am milking my own goat or cow or whatever she does on her video, i can’t relate to her lifestyle.
I think Nara lied about where her inspiration is coming from because it goes against the little story life she has made up for her character she has made up. She makes up reasons why she is even making what she is. Then, when she is talking about what she makes, she talks in such a way that it's like the 100th time she's made it. Nara Smith's stuff is all staged and that fine, but she is trying to act like it's not. She can't say, I saw Onezwa make this, so I wanted to try and make it too because it goes against her little play she puts on.

Dang it, it really does look like she is copying. I agree with the second lady. This is straight content for Nara. She gets paid to do this. I think it's great that she decided to do something with being a SAHW; something to keep her busy etc and still contribute to the family finances. That's why I tell others don't feel bad if they don't do the same. Yeah Onezwa needs to make sure that she has her receipts. I think it would be great if Nara just said, "I was inspired by..." Clearly, she KNOWS Onezwa's content. She was inspired by her because she said so, so she's caught there. I prefer Onezwa's video to nara because Onezwa has the goats, the garden, the farm to table type content. Nara, though she's lovely I just roll my eyes with her.

In my head, if she could make money and Nara was purposely stealing her money by taking her views, that would definitely be stealing, but since she cannot Idk how it’s stealing her money. I’m equating it to- if I cannot eat this candy, I wouldn’t say someone who could eat it stole my candy (using as simple terms as possible for the sake of this example), but that could be wrong and I’m open to learning so I can better form an opinion. @@Mochalolo1928Tiktok decides what countries they allow to make money on the app. Onezwa can't make money off of her content but that is still her intellectual property so Nara stealing her ideas(ex: her mannerisms, her entertainment ideas in the form of music, and the topics of the videos) is still wrong. Not being able to make money off of it is irrelevant in the case of: "did Nara steal or not?" Even though the issue of who gets to make money and whose content gets pushed through the algorithm is a very big problem in and of itself. The answer to the main question is Yes. Yes, Nara is wrong. Yes, Nara stole. Nara's fame, connections, location, racial makeup and skin colour all play a part in why she's more successful on the app in terms of visibility, following, and monetary gain. So taking from someone who has less access and means than her is even more unethical.

I watched both women and no just no. First of all Onezwa makes a lot of dishes of her region. Second of all i have yet to see a video where Naraa milks a goat and cooks chicken feet. Lastly I am not going to be gaslite to believe that some woman on a farm in South Africa invent Boba tea and mozzarella. Boba tea was invented in Taiwan and Mozzarella cheese originates from Italy. Pinterest has hundreds of recipes on how to make both and there isn't much variation on how they are made. I find it hilarious that everyone is bringing up some comment made a year ago. Do you know how many comments I make in a year? If someone asked me if I know who XYZ is I am going to say no if I am not actively following them. Saying they made a comment a year ago is doesn't mean they are actively following them or they even remembered what they watched,

The whole world pedestalizes lighter skin, not just SA. Have you ever heard of this certain social hierarchy we all live under. The excuse of saying there are several content creators who make similar content excuses Yara in this situation how exactly? The evidence points to blatant stealing of ideas and asethic. The several coincidences of Yara interacting with this woman's content and subsequently replicating it, are very blatant.
