Your bond is beyond beautiful, cannot begin to think how tough it must be to loose a parent and have to deal with the grief of it but your bond as sisters reminds me of the bond I have with my own brother, you just get each other and you know you have each other without needing to be reminded. Katie should be so proud of her achievements, what a role model she is, I work with children with all different learning disabilities and am constantly reminding them that no matter how our world perceives them they should never let it stop their ability to thrive in life. I lost my mum very suddenly recently, and I wish I had siblings to share and understand that grief. It is such a lonely place. Take some comfort in the beautiful bond you both have. I am struggling with infertility, but I pray more than anything I can have a child one day. I've always dreamed of a big family. It beaks my heart my mother won't be there to share it with, she would have made an amazing Granny. I know yours would have too, but they still are, just in spirit x

I used to be a domiciliary carer a few years back and it is a hard but very rewarding job. She's perfect for a role like that. I also want to add that, like you, I've lost a parent. My Dad passed very suddenly when I was 35 weeks pregnant. It's so unbelievably hard to think about him missing out on his first grandchild and not getting to meet him. However, I always think of it like this: there is some of my Dad living on in my boy. Whether it's a smile, the way my little boy laughs or his wacky sense of humour... I see glimmers of my Dad. Your mum lives on in your boys and she would be so unbelievably proud of you both. 🤍
