    Hey guys! I hope this is useful, it's my first go at painting some 40k minis on camera and fell in love with these gross guys!!
    Paints used are as follows;
    [Contrast] Wraithbone, Guilliman Flesh, Volupus Pink, Plaguebearer Flesh, Gryph-Charger Organge, Snakebite Leather, Black Templar & Basilicanum Grey.
    [Drybrush] Ushabti Bone, Leadbelcher.

    Damn it. Wish I'd seen this before I spent so much time painting mine to a lower standard ! Love how clean these guys look and the contrast paint really helps preserve the details.

    They look awesome! Thanks for the video dude, got gifted the combat patrol for Xmas, having always wanted to try death guard, and nurgle for AoS. After doing Tyranids and seraphon it's a very different style. ❤

    I'm using this guide to paint my 30 Poxwalkers. I was dreading painting them but now I'm kind of looking forward to it. I don't tend to use contrast paints all that much, but this is a great use case for them. Thank you for the guide. You have my sub!

    Really interesting technique. 👍and I subscribed. I've got like...4 editions of zombicide I've been putting of painting because I'm just no good at it. Its discouraging because when I watch miniature painting tutorials here on youtube the miniatures being painted never look as mini as they do when I'm holding them in my hand, squinting like crazy to try and see details that I need to paint. And no matter how small a brush I use, I always seem to splatter paint all over the place like a sailor swabbing the deck with a wet mop lol. Thanks again for your videos and take care.

    hey I was wondering how much of a difference would it be for me to use white scars spray instead of wraithbone?
    im thinking of spraying white scars and using agrax earthshade on the flesh to give it a more darker and warmer tone before applying the contrast flesh paints but I dont know if thats a good idea.

  • @FrayedBristles
    @FrayedBristles 4 роки тому

    I tried doing my poxwalkers like this but holy crap my pink was way more pigmented than yours. Did you water it down at all? What am I doing wrong?

    • @warriorstablewargaming
      @warriorstablewargaming  4 роки тому

      Ahh no sorry to hear that! No watering down in the vid but if you have a weirdly strong batch perhaps use some of the contrast medium to thin it after a good shake? Avoid thinning contrasts with water as it starts to behave weird.

  • @orkusdorkusmaximus
    @orkusdorkusmaximus 4 роки тому

    using he same paints out of the pot the skin tone is much darker are you thinning the colors?

    • @warriorstablewargaming
      @warriorstablewargaming  4 роки тому

      Hi there, no thinning here it's straight from the pot. Perhaps give the pot a really good shake or load less on the brush and ensure that you are spreading it thin? If that doesn't help then maybe its a dodgy pot and you can use the contrast medium to thin. Hope it helps!

    Any idea why when I paint Guillimen flesh on my miniature it comes out really dark? Should I mix with water? I’ve been applying straight out of the bottle? Any help is appreciated!! Thank you!!

    • @warriorstablewargaming
      @warriorstablewargaming  3 роки тому

      Hi there, general things that might help;
      Good shake before use
      Mix with contrast medium before use (on pallete)
      Only use a thin amount when applying.
      See if any of those help! If not then it might be a dodgy batch!

  • @richardcarcione1117
    @richardcarcione1117 3 роки тому

    Hey idk if my comment will reach you but I tried using contrast and its not coming out perfect like yours its all like blotchy

    • @warriorstablewargaming
      @warriorstablewargaming  3 роки тому

      Hi there, this can happen for a variety of reasons with the main one being mold release agent or oils on the mini before priming. If it's resin or metal consider washing before painting.
      If it's plastic - try a wash with a shade paint and see if that does the same. You might have a dodgy batch of paint. Hope it's fixable!
