Apt pupil was the original name for the story, as it was one of the short stories from different seasons. Therefore, the title was not changed. Shawshank Redemption and Stand by me also come from different seasons.
While I am disappointed by Batgirl's cancellation (mainly for Brendan Frasier and Michael Keaton), I was absolutely pissed that Scoob: Haunted Holiday not only also got cancelled, but its cancellation didn't make the news as loudly as Batgirl did. It was reportedly even closer to completion than Batgirl and it also tested well. And yes, Scoob got mixed reviews, but because it was released digitally due to theater closures that year, it was very successful in its own right. Both the writer Paul Dini and voice of kid Shaggy, Ian Armitage (sp? same kid that plays Young Sheldon) were vocally disappointed by this. And frankly, because the original Scoob did well because of the digital release, not releasing the Christmas prequel/midquel film digitally and direct to Blu-Ray/DVD was absolutely idiotic. Also, could you imagine if Bob Clampett's seriously animated film got made? That's a whole other side of him. He's usually just known as the wackiest Looney Tunes director.
Considering how many straight-to-DVD Scooby-Doo movies get released per year, what would be the big deal in releasing Holiday Haunt in that way? If they were looking for money, this would be a good way to generate it!

Corrections regarding Different Seasons: 1) it was a novella anthology with 4 stories, not a single novel, with only one of them being Apt Pupil. 2) Apt Pupil was the original name of the story within Different Seasons. 3) 2 other stories in Different Seasons were made into movies; "The Shawshank Redemption" and "The Body", the latter of which was retitled "Stand By Me". Sorry, this part bothered me a lot as I have read Different Seasons and genuinely am a huge fan of the movie adaptations made from it (discluding Apt Pupil, but that's just different taste)
Yep...the version of The Deep he seems to be describing is the Peter Benchley novel, which was adapted for the screen the same summer as Jaws (and even featured Robert Shaw in a similar role to Quint!).

I can’t recall which interview he said this in, I want to say Howard Stern, but I could be wrong about that. It was one of the interviews he did while promoting The Whale, but he didn’t go into much details about the film so what would have happen is anyone’s guess and it could have been some kind of adaptation of Batgirl: Year One.

Anyhow, so far DC movies are not doing well in the box office for the past year and it's mostly due to the lose of faith that movie goers have with WB, and things might not look good for Blue Beatle and Aquaman 2 (even more so with the later seeing it will feature the DCEU's Second Most Divisive Actor Amber Heard). With Batgirl, Peter Sefran did said he watched it and it was bad, but that's just one guys opinion, and we can't ever know. Maybe Batgirl would have been the Hit that saves DC Movies, or maybe it would have been Very Bad, tho probably not "Choking Your Fans in Iceland" Bad. Like it should be up to the Movie Goers to judge what Film is good or bad

The first one is set in the then present where an old Golem is found during construction of a well. The second one is a meta narrative in which the actor who played the Golem in the first movie (and wrote and directed) falls in love with a woman who is a fan of the original Golem flick. So he dresses himself Up as the Golem and ships himself to her house pretending to be a statue and a gift of said actor. The third one is a prequel to the first in which the Golem is created in medieval Prague

Having Richard Ayoade narrate was impressive. I’m sure its not the channels fault but Bulgasari was made ten years after the Korean War ended, so that can’t be a factor in the movie being lost. Great video I really enjoyed it.
I don't think that's Richard Ayoade narrating here... There's a difference in how this narrator ends sentences that doesn't line up with Richard.
