WAR, the original street band, was founded by veteran record producer Jerry Goldstein and rock legend Eric Burdon in 1969. Together with the original band members Lonnie Jordan, Howard Scott, Lee Oskar, B.B. Dickerson, Harold Brown, the late Thomas “Papa Dee” Allen, and Charles Miller, they blended many musical styles and influences. The musical laboratory that is WAR yielded 17 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards, including the triple platinum ‘The World Is A Ghetto’ and double platinum ‘Why Can’t We Be Friends?’ and ‘Greatest Hits’, and hit songs "Why Can't We Be Friends?", "Low Rider", "Spill the Wine", and "The Cisco Kid".
WAR began playing live shows to sold-out audiences in the 1970s and continues their commitment to being road WARriors, touring over 150 dates a year to this day.

War played and even though Leonne Jordan is the only original member playing they put on a fabulous show.The other tree remaining members formed a band called Low Rider in the 90's.
Jordan was a rocking front man ful of humour and charisma.The mucisian ship was top notch the highlights of the show 'Living in a Ghetto ' ,'Slippin into Darkness' and 'Galaxy.
War in their heyday were a unique sound of Pychedelic Soul infused Latino Rock.☆☆☆☆☆

The WAR you watch is fake. Only Lonnie Jordan is in the group he stoled the name the with the ex manager of the OG's Jerry Goldstein the crook ! The real WAR are Harold Brown Howard Scott and Lee Oskar. As they can't use their real name, you'll find them as "The Lowrider Band"

This band is not War anymore.. It's Lonnie Jordan and a group of side musicians. It's such a shame that in the music he who has rights to the name of the band wins.. Low Rider Band forever.
