I will do some process videos showing how to use some of the things we’ve made during the mass making workshops. In the meantime, you can just use them as tuck spots and pockets or just tuck them in with a paperclip for extra journaling space. Glad that you managed to get some made though x
Tina I L.O.V.E. this idea of yours for SIMPLE & QUICK Weekly Workshops for mass making for junk journals!! Genius really!! Keep going w this !! It's just exactly what so many of us newer junk journalists NEED!! And let's face it: many of us do not have lots of extra hours to sit and watch endless hrs of ramblings & instructions.... These are inspiring, encouraging, and just awesome--that's IT!! Thank you!!
I love this idea! I made six of them along with you. Already I have used one. It was so nice having it already made. I like the idea of stamping them immediately so the background is at the ready. Brilliant. Thank you for sharing! 🙂
I truly enjoy how you construct your projects with such ease. I cut with precision, spend too much time analyzing my layouts, stitch with even tension, embellish with detail, am so careful to evenly distress my edges. I HAVE issues and would to just like to ”let myself go.” Thank you for ALL your inspiration and sharing with such ease and comfort.
I wish I could be more precise but I just struggle with anything that needs to be exact. I used to get really upset and frustrated but through junk journals I have managed to accept my flaws and just roll with them. I think its why junk journals are so fun for everyone, because you can just adapt them to your style x
Hi Tina Thank you for doing this series. I made loads of these while I was crafting along with you. The boring jobs go so much faster when you are crafting with someone else. Karen x
I remember when movies took years....YEARS....to be shown on TV. And then the wait to see it on video, like you said. Now, it's almost instantly televised. I look forward to seeing that movie! My son taught us how to use You Tube for learning, taught his old folks new tricks.
Goodness me, I had fun with these. I printed out two scans of collages I had made (following your video!) onto cardstock and set to work. As an added detail, in addition to rounding the corners, I dug out my old decorative scissors and scalloped the outside flaps. I am having a go at an altered book journal and these will come in very handy. Thanks so much Tina, these videos are great fun and I look forward to more inspiration in the future!
Oh Carol, this is wonderful, I am thrilled that you are finding this helpful. Like you, I hope that this will speed up the process of putting a journal together x
love your videos and chatting , you do a good job of explaining how to do these different pockets etc. You are so relaxed about cutting and not measuring that it has helped me a lot.
Thanks for the video! And I totally agree that UA-cam has changed the face of the earth. It's probably been 2 years since I've even watched my network television stations. I do watch Netflix, Amazon, movie rentals and UA-cam. And I have learned so much and made good friends because of it. XX
Absolutely Lauretta, it makes you wonder what we did before doesn’t it? I sometimes try to convey to the kids what it was like when we were young and wanting the answer to something, I just don’t think any of us can imagine it being that way again. Everything is so instant and accessible, we are all very lucky in so many ways. Like you I hardly ever actually watch a regular channel on the TV, and certainly not at the time it was shown rather than on catchup. Plus as you say, all the friends that we can make from all over the world, it’s amazing isn’t it? X
Tina, you are doing great! Again, don’t worry about them being dull. I worked along with you and very much enjoyed you sharing bits of your life and adventures with us. I just wanted to mention a couple of things that I did. I deckaled the edges on one (tearing the paper) and then on several I used various decorative scissors to cut with. Not only do I have a variety of paper but also of the edges.
I start my morning watching your videos. I brought home homemade banana nut bread from my trip to Oregon and had it with cream cheese and coffee this morning. It was a little cold to eat outside this morning. I also need to make more of these and I love using stamps on projects. Instead of in bulk I call this mass quanities. Same thing... much love... :)
I am going through this playlist. I started watching todays video, Sun 5 May in Australia. So you inspired me to just keep going without stopping. Listening to you chatter is great, just looking up and down to see what your talking about occasionally. Thanks for being you Tina. :) Di
Great idea. This will make creating journals go smoother because the folded flips are ready to use. Please continue to make videos that inspire as this one did. I'm new to junk journal and I am learning so much from you and others.
Thanks I'm really loving these videos as i'm new to journalling and these are helping me so im saving these videos so i can do them when i have time xxxxxx
@@shabbydabbydoodah I'm going to save all yours as I'm sure along the way they will help me. I bought a couple of kits yesterday so just to print them off and then I can go lol x
Thanks for the tutorial. You are so creative. I love watching you make the journals I've been watching and crafting off and on all afternoon. Indie get some organizing done too. In live trying the things you are showing. Now I'm defianately going to my storage unit for supplies. I just ran out of most of the paper my granddaughter gifted to me. All that's left is very small peices.
Sweetie you are never boring! I love your videos & your kits! One lady talked about your ring, I always look forward to what ring you will be wearing! Such a fun tradition! Thanks for this series! Hugs!
Thank you so much Cheryl, I really appreciate your kindness and support. Yes, I love my junky rings, on the hunt for some new ones now.......it’s become a bit of tradition as you say, and it’s a bit of fun. So glad that you are enjoying the series x
Enjoying these mass makes, I got put off making journals as it took me so long to make all the bits and bobs to fill it. These are lovely, quick and easy to make 😊
@@shabbydabbydoodah Yes they are but now I can make all these lovely little projects and build up my collection. It's reignited my love of this hobby. I enjoy the simplicity and quickness how they all come together, how you show us at the beginning the process. Love it ! Thank you
I've had the same corner rounder for at least 15 years... When it gets dull I take a piece of tin foil and fold it then cut the folded end with the corner rounder.... keep folding and cutting over and over again. The tin foil sharpens the edge over and over again. Sometimes it needs more sharpening because I widdle it down to nothing. I use this method for my guillotine paper cutter also. Hope this helps you save a few dollars. Enjoying our time together, Michele
I get bored making multiples of things. I made embellishments for a beach journals for 4 of us who are going on a trip together. It really helped to watch & listen to you. It made the time go by so fast.
Love this idea! I have done something similar with tags from collage sheets but just having no theme on fold outs makes them so easy to use and you decorate to match the journal! Can't wait to see what else is in the workshops. Thank you for sharing all your creativity
Shabbydabbydoodah ....You’re welcome ❣️ Have you done a video on how to use them and being altered ? I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and not sure I seen them.
GREAT video, Tina❣ Good ideas for using up stash and getting things prestamped but yet leaving the final touches to go with what you are currently doing. 🌻 Ella in FL 🌴
I watched more than a few of your old playlist on mass making. I forgot to message on them. Your gonna see a few messages from me. On each video. I watched. I appreciate you. Praying for you girlfriend! Love this video !!! Easy peasy ❤❤ Thank you!!
I'm the same way with making things ahead of time and then not using them. I have started to do it a little different. I will make the same basic beginning. For example I'll use a box and cut it up then collage a background onto the front and back and just leave them like that. I usually do these when I don't feel very creative or feel like thinking about what I'm doing. Then when I'm ready to make a journal I will use matching papers, napkins words, etc to add to the pre-made base. I find this takes to be more time efficient and yet I can still coordinate the little details of the pieces.
Yes, it’s funny isn’t it, despite having some ready made pieces, still making things from scratch. Like you, I am hoping that leaving them undecorated will make them better for using x
Loving this! I know what I'll be doing after dinner tonight! I'm also starting on a stash of the faux postage stamps you demonstrated in an earlier video. Wonderful ideas, Tina!
Great idea to make things in bulk. Punching a few sheets of aluminum foil a bunch of times (depending how dull the punch is) sharpens corner-rounders and other punches.
I’m loving your idea of mass producing ephemera even if I do bases it’s soooo handy! I’ve been in a slump and crafting with you I’m finding mojo. Thank you 💕
