I agree. I saw him live with Buddy Guy a week ago & though I already know that i'm going to get hate for saying this, he impressed me even more than buddy did. There was just an obscene amount of soul & honesty to his playing & singing. It wasn't that buddy was bad, just that jonny was better.
How did Jonny fall between the cracks? He was mainstream back in the late 90's... I guess it was a surprise of talent and voice for such a young age.... Anyways he's matured like a fine scotch and should have more popularity, I love Mayer when it comes to guitar but we should all remember Lang started the new guitar revival. (Lang started 97 - Mayer started 2000, big concerts & TV that is not bars or clubs).
Jonny Lang is a very underrated guitarist...
Who ever put thumbs down 👎🏻 Dont what music is. Jonny Lang is one best singer songwriter and Blues Guitarist that’s even been or will be.
