At last, a true "live music video". There's a lot of bands out there putting out "live" music videos where they just show footage of concert with the studio version playing at the back. Props to you guys
@@marsamune5592 I don't see why that'd be the case, one does not necessarily have to hate a certain thing for another. As a fan since P2, I'm just pointing out that they did it "properly" this time, being that bands usually go for the studio version instead of the one they actually play live
Very true, but I just noticed something at 2:01 it shows Misha holding his Jackson Strat, which he leaves tuned differently than this song is played in. So it's footage from another song lol
This is the highest recording quality of Periphery live EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And please, please, please, please, please, upload more videos like this~ :))
@@MFKR696 I don't know about the instruments, but the vocals are pretty obviously live. I've seen them live twice in the last 3 years and they sounded incredible both times.
Pedro Abdala Misha said that it’s all live. They did some post production to clean it up a bit. Their front of house guy knows how to clean up the mix fairly well.
I was at the Edmonton concert of this video with my 10 year old daughter (she is a huge fan ). Misha came up on the second level playing his guitar giving out fist bumps then next and last song Lune Spencer came up singing on the second floor for the people up there and gave my daughter hug as he walked by .. It was fucking awesome... I don't know if the band reads this but thank you Spencer that made her the happiest kid ever !
more like.. a side E.p like Juggernauth before going to p5... they did two 'Ps' in succession , P4 and P5, they should calm it down.. they sound is becoming too similar, it's better they right some unique stuff again... like the huge step they made with Juggernaut ! i mean if they wanna do P5, it should be something unique... so in my opinion they should experiment with an E.p first
Having loved periphery from their first album, I am amazed with how they have perfected their craft; the clarity of the drums, the amazing vocals of Spencer, the feel and atmosphere of their every damn track, the trio of fantastic guitarplayers, the signature basstone Nolly has molded! I am falling in love with this band all over again every time I listen to their songs.
Exactly, with the exception that I just learned about the band 1 year ago. The rather painfully step-by-step went back in time to the first album; at the II and the first I thought that no, it is too raw... and now there is not a single day without some listening this shit. It is a trap. The only escape is to learn somehow each and every song on the guitar :-) Maybe.
I just cant fucking believe how spot on this live performance is...being a vocalist I can definitely empathize with Spencer when having to perform when sick, or on those days where your voice just doesn't want to cooperate at its fullest potential for no apparent reason...regardless, he is clearly honing his craft and is excellent at working within his abilities on any given day. This reminds me of the unbelievable show they put on when I saw them live December 2017 in Denver...Periphery never ceases to amaze me and the raw accuracy of their live shows is a privilege to experience.
My husband and I went to this tour when I was 4 months pregnant at the House of Blues in Chicago. It was the first show in a long time I haven't been able to go into the pit. But I got to hug Spencer, so that definitely made up for it!
I saw it at the Fillmore Silver Spring (the instrumental set) the energy was insane. Misha if you are reading this, I was the kid that that was constantly screaming “I love you Misha!”
When I first listened to hail Stan I liked this song but didn’t end up listening to it as much as the singles. Then I saw them live, and this song got the room MOVING. Made me appreciate it a lot more!
You guys are my favorite band. It's a pity that videos in decent quality with you are so rarely released. One day this madness with the coronavirus will end, come to us in Perm, Russia. I'll hang out at your concert and die happy)
I have unfortunately never been able to make it to a live show, and now during this lockdown and quarantine, it’s got me itching to go to a live show. What better a live show to go to when this is over than a band that has perfected their craft this well, and just so happen to be my favorite band? I can’t wait for whatever tour they setup after the world goes back to normal.
I'm so happy that this LIVE MUSIC VIDEO actually used the LIVE AUDIO!!!!! Sick of clicking "live music video" just to hear track audio over some live shots Also - you can tell a band is actually good when they sound good live and not just in the studio... Periphery is actually good :)
diehardorlive1 for me it’s different. I appreciate Spencer’s voice as the way he sings seems incredibly difficult. Using all different parts of his body for different sounds (throat, diaphragm, chest, nasal cavities, etc) takes a LOT of practice, and he’s really come a long way. To me he just keeps getting better. What I saw from the Meinl sessions was that he’s sort of like a Ferrari. They look cool driving slow, but they’re made to let loose and the sound they make is amazing. Same with Spencer. Just my opinion.
Jake's screams have gotten absolutely filthy
this man ^^^ spitting facts
Which one is his?
@@Nashi509 he's doing the low growls such as the "Fall back"

In LIVE mark & Jake does that part together. I thought they'd show him in of the repeats.

Unless he detuned it for a few of the shows 🤷♂️
Why you gotta do Plini like that man?
This song is so much better live. That rawness brings it to life.
Agreed! I like this version more than the album one!

Can confirm as the guy who mixes them live and mixed and mastered this version, there is no bullshit. This is the audio I multi-tracked at the show.
Best Metal band in the world right now.
Electro Sound Parade this is just hard rock buddy, slaughter to prevails new song is the best metal song you’ll ever hear.
@@cinchedchevrolet I mean it's opinionated. I love Slaughter to Prevail and I can say it's pretty brutal. But I prefer Periphery.
H&F Outdoors and Fishing «rock». huh?

You know they’re the best when they post a the live recordings and they are just as good if not better than the album. Periphery for life!!!
We need live recordings for so many other Periphery bangers. So pretty much the rest of their discography

This is a serious musical flex to use actual live audio unlike every other bands "live music video" which are just clips over their album track.
