I've had the chance to use this table a couple of times now. It's fun to whip out in front of people:) I can see what people are talking about when they say the legs are delicate, but they're design to support a "mostly" vertical load, not be torqued from the side or pushed back into place. If you just let the table open or close on it's own and don't force anything, it works great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh Once it's set up, it's pretty solid. My only gripe would probably be related to the clamps provided. They're not the highest quality. They do the job, so no big deal, but they could be better. All in all, pretty cool gadget.

Jeremy, you are one gifted individual! I swear if someone backed you into a corner, you'd build steps out of air molecules! You have a way of presenting complex things in simple form for your audience to follow. You add just enough comedy to brighten up the 'seriousness'; without overdoing it and taking away from the seriousness. Your speech is eloquent; in that you know exactly what you want to say without hem-and-hawing and adding unnecessary words such as "you know", "I mean", etc. Your video-editing skill is like few people on UA-cam. Jeremy, I love your workmanship, attention to detail and practical application of these skills. Many comments have covered already most points concerning the massiveness of this bench. Well it may cause a slight perturbation in the earth’s gravity field distribution but it is admirably suited to purpose! I understand your feelings having come so far and still there is the “pain-ting” to do. Don’t worry! It’s not likely to oxidise to a pile of rust anytime this millennium, especially kept in the dry area you occupy. That gives you plenty of time to choose how to degrease it and select a colour scheme matching such an epic bench. Well done and thank you for the privilege of watching a top grade artisan at work!
I'll definitely be sticking around. Love watching someone who knows what they're doing. You should make an attachment for that vise to attach it to your tractor. Probably be very simple for you. Largest vise we've had was a leg vise roughly 4 feet tall. Easily 400 pounds. My father donated it to a local museum a couple of decades ago. We had it attached to the wall of our garage. We we'd use it, you could see the wall flexing under the weight and our strength.
Great build Jer, enjoy your videos a lot. If you have not come up with a way to move the table around yet, consider drill/tap a couple holes in the center and one in line and towards the vise for lifting eyes. Your floor hoist will straddle the legs and make it safe and easy to move around. If you don't want the holes left open you can insert allen head set screws in them until time to move again. Just a thought. Thanks for the video.👍
Oh my gosh. Through-bushing made from just raw round tube stock in the rectangle tube for bolts is such a good idea. Idk, that table might be heavy enough to reach critical mass and start a nuclear reaction of its own, if it doesn't collapse into a black hole that is.
I always love watching your videos Jeremy. You somehow have the style of all the best UA-camrs combined into one, while not inherently copying. Your passion and perfectionism for the entire process from concept to upload really shows. Man this workbench is a beast.
Awesome table Jeremy! If you locate the center of gravity of the table (weld a tab and lift with your hoist) you could drill and tap a hole for a 5/8”, or 3/4”, shoulder eye bolt. If you don’t want the bolt in all the time could make a flush plug to fill the hole and protect the threads. Install the bolt, then you could then move it with your hoist. www.amazon.com/Williams-EB-27T-Shoulder-Eye-Bolt/dp/B016VX87I6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1548606486&sr=8-4&keywords=Williams+Shoulder+eye+bolt
Very cool build! It's impressive that a guy your size (I'm the same size I'm not hating.) Built a table that big without using a forklift or a chain hoist. With a big enough lever you can move the world! Excellent creative problem solving! Thanks for posting!
@@Jer_Schmidt when you said "heavier than I am" my initial reaction was - no offense - "Gee, I didn't think Jer was a little guy, but maybe?" But then I saw you with that monster in the shop crane and my jaw dropped. It's like the corollary to what Archimedes had to say about levers. We can call it "Jer's Vise Corollary:" "Give me a vise big enough and let me weld up a table and Archimedes can pack sand."
You said I'll be able to see how you paint the table top IF I stick around. Jeremy, you must be kidding. About 20 minutes ago I thought my steel shop tables were heavy duty. Now every time I walk by them I am going to be thinking "Medium duty. Dammit." I have the same Wiltom vise mounted on the corner of a 4'x8' x1/2" steel top, and have been planning to make an extended mount like yours to drop the vise jaws to a more convenient height. Great inspiration Jeremy. Thanks for sharing your heavy duty perfectionism leanings.
I've been trying to decide where to mount my vise for awhile, now, and thanks to this video I... still have no idea. But the design is great and the execution is even better. The combination of meticulousness where it pays off and the eyeballing where it doesn't... really good info. I tend to get paralyzed when building something this.... expensive and permanent.... trying to figure out how to not mess it up. You seem to always get it done properly start to finish. I am looking forward to the followup video of the paint drying, so long as you get some good angles.
I can relate to the feeling of getting paralyzed before starting a project like this. I spent a lot of time in CAD trying to figure out how I wanted to do it, and I have many other projects where I am currently in that paralyzed stage, scared to start before the design is perfect.

In the event of a nuclear attack three things will survive: Scorpions, Cockroaches and your table. Best wishes from Yorkshire, England.
And the roaches and scorpions will survive only if they hide under this table.
You forgot Keith Richards...

Thank you!
If I ever need to put a locomotive steam engine in a vise, I'm coming to your shop! Great job.

Very cool build! It's impressive that a guy your size (I'm the same size I'm not hating.) Built a table that big without using a forklift or a chain hoist. With a big enough lever you can move the world! Excellent creative problem solving! Thanks for posting!
That is the most manly table ever constructed! It makes me feel good knowing that it exists!
great work - loved the way you housed the tops of the legs
Awesome table, I think I can see some smaller objects in orbit around it.
That’s how I got that shot at 21:05. I am in an elliptical orbit as you can see. Please send help.
LOL! 😂
Great build! It wasn't really until the shot of you mounting the vise that I really understood how *BIG* that thing is.
I was a little taken aback when I opened the box. It’s a beast.
@@Jer_Schmidt when you said "heavier than I am" my initial reaction was - no offense - "Gee, I didn't think Jer was a little guy, but maybe?"
But then I saw you with that monster in the shop crane and my jaw dropped. It's like the corollary to what Archimedes had to say about levers. We can call it "Jer's Vise Corollary:" "Give me a vise big enough and let me weld up a table and Archimedes can pack sand."
Very nice work and you are a creative Guy.
You said I'll be able to see how you paint the table top IF I stick around. Jeremy, you must be kidding. I enjoy your videos more than any other provider that i subscribe to and I subscribe to a few hundred content providers. Why do I put you at the pinnacle? You have exceptional design capability and a fabrication techniques to be admired. In a word, you are a perfectionist---worthy of any builder to aspire to. I look forward to every new video. I have watched every one and I can't say that about any other producer. Please continue to make and film new projects. You are thrilling 227K subscribers!
Wow, thank you!!
Foldable Caster wheels are in order mate.
Inwards folding.
Huge table
I'm thinking mag-lev system? No sure how that would work, but Jer would figure it out.
sweet Moses!! That is the mother of ALL tables!!
One day centuries from now, some new Tony will make a video about this when its found in some dusty corner.....
Thanks for sharing your heavy duty perfectionism leanings.
that was well done and its nice to see someone who can still make there own shop supplys instead of running out to buy every thing ehhh
If a job is worth doing, it’s worth over doing or doing several times in some cases. Outstanding job and a great video!
At least you didn't overdo it...
Some guys have projects and some build monuments...
Great video Jeremy nice build! Yes I will watch a video of you painting it and finish it! Keep up the good work! Good to see a new video out.
Woodworker: "We integrate our vices on the side of our workbenches, which is something metalworkers never..."
Jeremy: "Hold my vice."
🤔 Hmmm, you’re giving me an idea.
@@Jer_Schmidt I like it a lot when you have ideas. Please have more and be sure to record all of them. Amazing.
That is one seriously impressive vise table Jeremy. And I'm sure it will withstand a direct meteor strike, Nice Job!
Strong and big tools ! Are you sure you and Frank Howarth are not related ? Hehehe ! Thanks for sharing !
Excellent planning and fit up ! Very nice work .
Awesome table! I was hoping for a Wandel jump test, though. ;-)
Dammit, why didn’t I think of that?!
@@Jer_Schmidt Still time for that in the "Painting Video" :)
Would've been awesome had he brought in a Sumo wrestler to do the jump!
@@Jer_Schmidt But you did the Wandel jump, I noticed it right away at 12.10 :) ua-cam.com/video/ObO4maqPL08/v-deo.html

But what about with the top? Would that break or collapse? Who knows? ;-)
Awesome table/vise mount. All those giant agro tractors, and not a bobcat in sight to move the table.
