- Take a ride with me as I bring you along our first camping trip with our new travel trailer to Vail Lake in Temecula, Ca! This is a great campground for families and couples. Lots of activities (pre Covid) great patio area, cool bar, and a general store for all your camping necessities. Enjoy. Don’t forget to like and subscribe as I will be uploading more videos monthly :)
Thanks for actually doing a tour of the facilities. I haven't seen too many tubers do that.
Great review, and thanks for giving us a little tour.
Great review! My family camped there in the 70’s when it was called Butterfield Country. They had full off road park, huge water slide and access to the lake. The place looks like a lot of fun with all kinds of activities. I think I’ll be making a reservation. Happy camping!!
We used to come there in the early 80s as well, then we stopped going because I heard it was an Indian reservation, so it’s open again? I want to take my kids there now. Lots of memories.
This is not the old Butterfield Country! Butterfield County became a private resort. This is still Vail Lake, has been for many years.
Yep brings back memories it was called Butterfield Country back in the 60's and 70's and probably early 80's then it was called Vail lake for several years until K.O.A. took over in the last few years, call it what you want its the same as it has been through the years, many fun times here especially when the water slides were open!!!!
Great campgrounds. My family have had a couple family reunions in the early 00's. It was called vail lake then, but was under different management. That was when they still had the big Water Slide going into the pool. Going back again this August for our 28th annual family reunion. Pretty excited for it
Awesome! Small world... we were there at the same time and you got our group :-)
lol no way! That’s funny definitely small world!!
awesome new trailer
Awesome tour! Can't wait to check it out. Thanks
Very helpful! Thank you! I hope you do more of these, either here or on Rumble.
Appreciate the detailed tour… heading out there in a few weeks. Although I caught this video a few years late, I imagine it will be close to the same.
Loved your review. Not everyone is as detailed. Thank you

Hello waving here! Welcome to Camping world!
Hello and thank you
Nice place, but I got dizzy with all the sudden movements on your camera 😅
lol sorry about that
6:13 that tesla lives there huh parked next to that beautiful thing
My grandmother and I grew up in Bonicula
Is there tent camping there.
Yes there is 👍🏼
Hi ! Do they have the same activities as koa san diego? Thanks!
Some of the same yes but not all
Hey boss great video our family purchased a 28ft travel trailer this past January 2021 we are from Riverside county ca i was wondering do you recall your campsite # or do they pick out your site for you or is it on a first come first serve basis
So sorry I’m just seeing this. I don’t remember the exact site but it’s one of the first to the left when you drive up the hill to the upper section
Are golf carts allowed at the Vail campground?
Yes they are they also rent them out there
Looks like the lower merlot campground
It's actually KOA. Need I say more?
where is the lake
Unfortunately it was closed when I filmed this
So what happened 2 the lake view 😢
Thank you for this video. I didn’t see the arroyo seco section. How does it look 👀?
Sorry for the late reply. The arroyo looks similar to the rest of the site just not as good of a view
Do they have hiking trails?
Hmm not sure of an actual “hiking trail” but for sure bike trails around the campground
@@thetravelnbinge9301 cool thanks. I'll be making a trip next month
Thanks for the video but that camera swaying made it difficult to watch.
Yes it's nice but hope you picked up all of your trash
Of course we did 😁
What spot number were you at?
I honestly forgot 🤦🏻♂️ lol. It was the second site on the left once you go up the hill into that section of the campground. You’ll see the driveway/hill going up shortly after the main entrance
How much do they charge per night?
It always varies based on time of year. I think average around $40 give or take
Is this just for rv
It can be for a tent too.
Or pop ups
Thanks or the infromation. I plan to arrive in a few days. May I respectfully suggest that you pan a lot less. Also, maybe you could make the video shorter. Thanks again.
We can Lyft to the wineries from there
