Good Afternoon Don, I really want to say thank you so much for your tips and advice, each element of your video was very crucial in my interview process and it was truly a success! This is a true testimony of your advices and delivering the execution. Keep up the good work!
Lol I’ve been watching your videos for a few days and have been wanting to transition from construction and I used like 4 of your videos and crushed my 2nd interview yesterday.
You really gave me the confidence and inspiration to get a job in the fitness industry. I am currently going for some certifications and was concerned I may not land a job because of not having any experience but I am considering hiring a personal trainer to get some insight on the whole process. Thank you again for the inspiration and for me to get out of the mindset of “you don’t have experience? Then move on to the next job application”
@@dayp79 it is not that far though. The more you learn about the tax law, and you network with people who are tax experts, this may consider as skill and experience. It all depends how your current skils+knowledge are assessed in ordered to get to the new field that you want.
There's a fine line between learning a new skill and actually having working experience in a professional environment. In the IT Field, having some knowledge and actually working in the field is very different. An experienced hiring manager can tell the difference.
Many times, the job description you get, that is approved, has been altered between the time the job posting is 1st listed to the time you interview for the position. So, going by the job description can be a land mine. Oh, you might pass the initial screening, but you won't actually get the job. What you REALLY need 90% of the time is someone on "the inside" to tell you the scoop on the company.
Really appreciate your videos! Here is a topic for you: How to behave when having an interview at a place that you used to work. I just did this and it was a disaster! Firstly, I was so happy to see old workmates, that I let down my guard and was far too 'honest' with them. Also, we were so busy talking about the old days, I was distracted from telling them my strengths and what i could offer them. Also, I joked around with the Partner with the firm and it all got misconstrued. Again... a total disaster...

These are great videos! I would like to see one about what someone who is not a native English speaker can do in a job interview when its pronunciation is not perfect. This is very interesting because their vocabulary can be limited. From your personal perspective, what would make you hire someone who speaks broken English?
Don't put your Head down, work on your face eyes contact and don't speak fastest be confident to yourself, read the job description first tell them how you can do it.i went through many.
This is a very helpful video. You inspired me to talk about this as well. I would love for you to give me your feedback on my current video on this topic.
I graduated college with honors and have been unemployed ever since. I applied on and off for 4 years and gotten 1 interview and no offers. They never tell me what I did wrong, but I think it is my autism.
@@DonGeorgevich Hi Don, Thank you so much. I got the job. I am really grateful for your videos. It helped me a lot. Boosting my confidence, how to talk and prepare for the interview. Your presentations and explanations are crystal clear and on point. Thank you very much again.
The problem is in 2 places. 1. Online job search is not personal and you would have to change your resume for every job you are applying for. 2. HR has no real idea about the job or skills they are hiring you for. And reject you biased on there ignorance. And hire the wrong candidate. And they repost the same job a month later.
Don Georgevich Thanks Don. I appreciated your video(s). They take a lot of the sweats out of interviewing. I just did an interview this week. I’m planning for my 2nd interview with the CEO for a family business next week. 🙌
Don Georgevich You would be surprised that in this day of technology advancements in computers you can use X-Plane.com to teach yourself flying. Making the transition to working as a crew is a different mindset but simulators are the way forward to learning skills quickly and safely.
I literally just transitioned but the IT field is wide. I’ve ran into several guys in interviews during my transition that had no idea what they wanted to do in the field and if you speak with them they have zero knowledge about the job they’re even interviewing for. So find an actual job you’d like to do and create a road map to get to that position and then get a job that fits into that map entry level. Also really drown yourself in knowledge so that you can have enough context to have an actual discussion about the field with people.
@@auspicioustoot Thanks ! I have been building computers for 20 years but recently I am making the switch to Linux and server studies and server implementation. You are right ! @@DonGeorgevich I have very limited experience. None of it has helped me in finding employment. I'm a 2nd year in college and cant find a job.
