Clean both optical sensors on the top in the outside tunnel (with lightly moist toothbrush), clean the bottom of the outside tunnel because it reflects signals from sensor (one is sensor and the other is emitter). When you program the door leave the flap open to the inside side (it's best to program from outside side and keep the flap open to inside side - because of this sensor and emitter). And when you test new chip in a syringe don't let the cat go near because its chip can interfere with the new chip (the door won't know which chip ID to save in the memory). Perform reset by holding the button for 10 seconds and start again. Program with good new batteries inserted to increase chance of success. Good luck and let us if these tips helped :)
I have the same problem (door is too slow to open). I've been told I am using the wrong batteries (they are too weak), so I'm off now to buy Energizer alkaline or Duracell alkaline batteries. Fingers crossed.
@MonkontheHill I ask as I wondered if that was why the cat flap no longer works. I have the same issue. I will have yo take my cat to get rechipped. For the cat flap as strays will come into my home.
@gloria2340 I think the support is in UK. They are very friendly and helpful. For me it finally turned out that I had to get a new flap. Everything works smoothly again. 👍🏼
Sometimes it can take a few trys to get the modes to change. Also i did not see the red light blink to signel that it had changed modes,is there a "Blink code" ?

Thanks a lot for all this information! It became a whole series of videos. The cleaning I did in the first one. In the last I bought a new flap. 😂
@MonkontheHill I just saw the end result. My comment was unnecessary because you did all of these and nothing helped.
Don't worry. Someone will read your summary and will profit from it. Thanks for that. 👍🏼

They told me the same. But if other brands are new it should be enough energy. It doesn't change my outcome though...
Do you know if the chip has moved and checked with scanner ?
Unfortunately not. The cat is old and if not necessary I don't want to take her to the vet.

@gloria2340 get in touch with the support. They'll send you a test kit.
@MonkontheHill I'm in the UK. I have called local vets, but no help. Thank you 😃

Good point! Should there be a blink code? Nothing was mentioned when they told me about it...
