    I'm wearing my G-Shock MRG-B2000B-1A1DR today... in tribute to this video. I almost bought that Shogun, but the money went on a new TV & Cinema Surround Sound system for Winter. 😊

    Absolutely love the Mudman GW9500-1A4 ❤ They made the orange color composition right. GW9500-1 black is also cool. Thanks for showing all of G-Shock great watches 🙏

    You need at least a 7.5" wrist or greater for these watches. I have 2 G Shocks and love them. They look great on my 7.5" wrist. There's nothing engraved on the side plate where the A button is normally located...strange. They normally engrave something on that plate.

      yes they are large watches but not too heavy. These days I think if you like wearing it, that is fine. I also noticed no button in the 'A' position..

    Great look at these two MRG watches thanks for the video. I'm waiting delivery of the Mrg-b2000 "kachi-iro" which has a similar style of bezel to the Shogun (re-crystallised titanium). The Shogun is a bit out of my league and the white would probably look a bit naff on my pale skin 😂I've a small wrist but I know exactly how these wear as I used to own the older GPS version, and G-Shocks are not about subtlety right! The only fly in the ointment with the rubber strap MRGs is switching out to a bracelet can only be done by a Casio dealer who has access to the proprietary Torx tool.

      I do think G-Shocks look fine on small wrists as you are right they are probably not subtle but I sort of like that. These MRG, MTG G-Shocks are very good and in their own space really.

    I too am struggling between the frog and the shogun. I’d love them both but will have to make a choice soon. The frog is designed and built from the ground up and I think tips the balance.

      I would go Frog 🐸 but they are both good.

    I don’t like the idea of having to cut the strap to your wrist size I have to adjust my straps throughout the day, as my wrist changes which the temperature also would you would if you came to sell it they would have to have the same wrist size as yours. if I were to pay that much for a watch it be for a more elegant, looking for omega watch my wife has just bought the most expensive watch in my collection the new g shock gwgb1000 in red for my 70th birthday next year

    • @masterwatch
      @masterwatch  8 місяців тому +1

      I have the exact same thoughts. I've always said I would never get a watch with a rubber strap that needs to be cut as it seems so untidy. I was thinking if I did get the watch I would buy an additional strap just in case I did want to sell. It is a tricky one, I do like the look of the watch. 70 is great, well done for you.

    • @rossdev
      @rossdev 6 місяців тому +1

      Yes but there is a micro adjust on the clasp which would alleviate that to some extent. Switching out the strap is a problem though, Casio do not sell the tool you need to do this.

      @@rossdev I need to take a look at this tool as I imagine you can find a replacement, but I do find it interesting.

    why some really big gaudy ugly watches. I'd rather wear an invicta lol. goes to show that marketing is everything and people with money will buy a bag of turds if they were convinced everyone else would want to lol.

      They are different watches and for some people they are probably too big and too colourful but I do like them myself but I suppose that is only my opinion and taste. What I can say is that they are very well made, the build quality is very good.

      I see a lot of Blokes wearing the same stuff. Rolex or Omega Speedmasters. Same thing, different day.
      One thing I have noticed about them though, how boring and aggressive they are as people. No idea why... 😂😂😂😂😂
      Edit: actually I think it's because they are insecure and need to feel part of a crowd. Oh well, shame really.

      @@JustMeTalking True, and I woudn't say G-Shock people are boring, but they are also aggressive. One just got me banned from reddit for a week cause he started arguing with me when I said I liked the look of the MRG Kachi Iro rose gold version b2000. He owns 6 MRG's the Kachi Iro not one of them and started arguing with me as to why it looks horrible. haha. When someone tells me they own a G-Shock, I think they are probably the type of person that also like to watch wrestling on tv or something if you know what I mean hahah.

      @JustMeTalking favorite watch I own is Garmin Fenix 6x sapphire which is usually worn by friendly athletic people, although I don't fall into that crowd lmao. Although it does double as my bike computer which I connect the radar and a chest strap to, I'm fat and out of shape. But honestly if I was going to to spend a couple Grand on a watch I'd probably get a Garmin Marq luxury. I plan on getting the 8X Sapphire when it comes out. Ive abused my garmin and even the bezel isn't scratched. They are great watches. They have real tough Sapphire unlike Apple and Samsung and don't glitch out like them either. very reliable. Fenix Smart watches feel like tools to me instead of toys.

      @cooloutac Haha, must be an age related thing then. So I see your point. Some of the more expensive G-Shock items most likely attract a different demographic. My MRG-B5000B gets a lot of hate from G-Shock fans because of the price. But for me, it's one of the cheapest watches in my collection.
      Anyways... enjoy your watches, as they're for you. Nobody else.
