  • Here we will see the main difference between the two similar priced air rifles. I bought both rifles from airgun depo for $429.00 both are excellent rifles for the price and I would recommend both to anyone. be sure to check out my other videos and follow me on instagram here:

    The metal mags of the JTS don't last longer, they technically should last forever. All plastic especially transparent products become brittle and break after a few years. The JTS is a pcp that will be handed down to your grandchildren. Also the o-rings on the Gauntlet are on the probe which go through the sharp plastic magazines for every reload. On the JTS the o-rings are inside the probe chamber so they don't get chamfered every shot you take. Thanks. GREAT VIDEO!

    Very happy with this video and it's a matter fact I'm applying those reg settings and air cylinder pressure to my own 25 caliber Airacuda Max. I use the JSB MK II 33.95 grain pellets. Like I said before, you do need to get a wireless microphone. They're not expensive and your videos need them.

    I bought the standard 22 caliber JTS airacuda. Some minor adjustments I did and what a powerful accurate pcp. On setting 5 14gr H&N sniper 1111fps Crosman 14.3 1100 fps and H&N 21.14 960fps plus H&N 36 gr slugs 712 fps all were crony at 3000 fill pressure and all increase speed as tank pressure goes lower.

    Which direction? Clockwise or counterclockwise for the JTS’s to add hammer spring pressure to help with heavier pellets/slugs? Thank you very much in advance…. Great info and vids!

    • @themichiganoutdoorsman
      @themichiganoutdoorsman  Рік тому +2

      kyle, I went clockwise to adjust the hammer spring in for a faster pellet. however you really need a crono to measure the speed. checkout my videos on the JTS playlist because in my first video of going for max power i adjust the hammer spring only and too much in actually slows the pellet speed. after messing with the regulator (video #2) then going in on the hammer spring helped my pellet velocity.

    Jts is a way nicer gun. I would lower the reg psi back down and shoot a lighter pellet especially since your shooting squirrels. You can kill squirrels with a 22 so a stock 25 at roughly 40 foot pounds is more then enough. Plus I think it’s much more manageable in the hand then the long gauntlet. The build quality is way better too. Just my opinion
    You fill it to 4500 with no problems even though it say 3200 max? Great video

    • @themichiganoutdoorsman
      @themichiganoutdoorsman  Рік тому +2

      Yes, I agree with you. It’s a much better gun than the gauntlet. I have had no issues at 4500 psi however, I have stopped filling it to that because I will probably be selling it soon so I set everything back to factory.

    hey Jeremiah i'm looking to getting my first air rifle jts 30, sl30, AEA30 out of these 3 which would you consider and or should i just go to AEA.35 thanks

    • @themichiganoutdoorsman
      @themichiganoutdoorsman  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi! It depends on what you want to do with it. The JTS30 is not very powerful, but is very smooth and probably the best built with quality components. The SL30 is a power house and is much better than the G30 I owned, but it’s cheaply made with some thin plastic. However I didn’t have any problems with it it’s just not as nice as other guns in the same price point. AEA makes a couple of.30 caliber air guns bolt action, semi auto, bull pup, etc. I know they’re .30 challenger is probably one of the most powerful .30 air guns around. And with the wood stock it’s a beautiful quality looking air gun. If you are looking to hunt big game like deer I’d go .35 cal, but for coyotes and down my .30 cal has had no problem.
