- As a retired Navy Chief Cryptologic Technician, I have been dying for the release of this game. I have watched some of the people testing the game and found myself saying nope that's the wrong strategy a lot. So since I have actual participated in the scenario that I did in this video in 1988, I figured I would see how I could handle it. I am proud to say I kick butt with only one loss. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for putting sea power video out. I really enjoy watching gameplay.
Thanks for the amazing video. As a twenty years old I’m eager and thrilled to see these kind of videos especially explained by a veteran. I’m sure you have many stories to tell!! Keep the content up, greetings from Italy
Thanks!! I do have quite a few stories that I bore freinds and family with too often lol.
Nice video. I've bought the game already. Would pay that money just for the mission editor frankly. Mods and a campaign is just gravy.
Agreed. I am in the process of making my first scenario. Its actually not that hard.
Former Electronics Warfare tech here (EW1) - nice to see more real world tactics. Seems most don't understand EMCON and when or how to make use of it. Good video! Wish my old antique PC could run this.
Worked a lot with EW's in my day. I am sure you have worked or at least heard of CTT's.
Really appreciate this from a veteran...i am szrughling a lot with this game as a landrat from germany...but it an amazing game with steep leatning curve...
I actually spent 2 years at Patch barracks in Stuttgart in the early 1990's. My family I loved the volksmarches and Castles.
@@NavyOldsaltGamer yeah I grew up in the 90s with good friends from the Kelly barracks in Darmstadt! With Putler in our backyard I would love to see more of you guys back again in Germany 😅😘 but well..with that clown you call president again...we are all fucked anyway lol
a few controls things i've noticed, you can que up multiple orders by holding shift then clicking or right clicking (works with weapons firing too), if you select any unit in a formation (of ships, aircraft etc) you can then press the middle mouse button (the scrolly part) to jump to the commanding unit in that formation. you can also do formation orders by right clicking the leader of a formation and then hovering over formation orders, these include switching everyone's ROA and also their emcon status
Awesome Thanks!
Great video. Subbed
I think you can right click the tactical map and show/hide different types of markers.
Awesome! I will give that a try.
Nice job. I have absolutely no naval experience in real life, but I spent X amount of hours in modded versions of silenthunter 3 and 4 learning to navigate (to some degree. Had to simplify a bit cause real navigation was a little too hard) and learning how to track targets and calculate torpedo solutions manually. The latter I nailed after X more hours reading and looking at youtube videos.
So I suspect this game might be right up my alley and thinking of picking it up on my next payment. Would you recommend the game in its current early access state or wait a little for a few patches and added some stuff from their roadmap?
Absolutely recommend. Don't let the price scare you away as the scenarios are many and will continue to grow.
One thing - how did the silkworm sites get targeting on your ships? Visual? Radar should have been seen (ESM) if it were active - well in real life, not sure about the game. If not maybe your emitters were how they were localizing for launch.
I assume the helos they sent were enough but that is a good question.

Thanks!
