Here's a quick rundown of the story elements from the original Slime Rancher game! With Slime Rancher 2 just released, this should serve as a quick reference for all of your character needs and general story guide. Who's your favourite character?
It's honestly Bea, even though we know so little about her, she's a very interesting individual. And with Slime Rancher 2 seeming to have a story aswell, she is gonna be very interesting.
Thank you so much for making this! I played the original Slime Rancher years ago and never really understood exactly what was going on, so I'm glad to see it described here in such a succinct yet fulfilling way. Looking forward to playing more of Slime Rancher 2!
I love the story of Bea and stuff but I would love to see someone try to research the ancient stuff in slime rancher , lke who made those giant arches? Where does the water in the glass desert come from ? Why is it a desert? who made the teleporter to the desert? And all of these
I played the game like 4 years ago and I was like 10 so I didn’t truly understand the story And like 2 weeks ago I rewatched the ending music : A thousand light years away And it made me cry and made me realize that this game has a way deeper story than I originally thought And after having reread Casey’s mails and now watched this video I can say that this game already was in my top 10 favorites but now it’s even higher Especially because I had the two doors dilemma in my actual life recently and I made a choice, knowing that both aren’t "the right one" Anyway great vid, it’s sad that it didn’t get much attention because it was really well explained
I can’t believe this came out 6 hours ago, I was looking for a video like this for the past day or so. I just finished the story so far in SR2 and now I’m trying to make it all make sense. The first game’s ending just doesn’t sit right with me though. Guess I was just looking forward to time travel or something.
The outro music is one of the Steam Gardens tracks from Super Mario Odyssey, if you were wondering Slime Rancher's story makes me so sad for such a cheery game, there's just so many elements that strum your heartstrings like a guitar (that's a reference) I need to play this lovely game again, thank you for inspiring me to 100% it
I had never realized it was a love story, I had always assumed it was a story of regrowth, with love being a b story, I thought this because of the glass desert
“They” is often used when we don’t know the gender of a person or when we don’t know what a person looks like at all. That or Casy identifies as non binary and uses they/them pronouns.
The devs intentionally never gendered Casey, they're quite transparent about that. And the singular "they" has been common vernacular in English since roughly the 13th century, so it is grammatically correct in this context (today's fun fact)
@@ayden.t4713 They/Them pronouns can be used to refer to someone who identifies as nonbinary or if you don’t know their preffered gender and don’t want to upset them.

Viktor
Casey’s story actually makes me quite sad. It would be a crime if she doesn’t get eventually added to the calls in Slime Rancher 2.

Nice video now I’m going to pay extra attention to the dialogue in slime rancher 2
Just got into this series on a whim so I have both to play through lol! Having a great time with SR1 so far!

Amazing video!
We have the exact same areas of slimes @ 07:47 holy crap.

I never paid attention to the starmail from Casey, so i thought it was their mother or something

Can anyone tell me why does she use "they" tor Casey? It's just not grammatically coreect, I don't understand at all

Ok cool 👍
casey is a guy name and beatrix is a girl name, why tf do you say they as if it’s multiple people 😂😂
I was thinking the same thing, but Casey is a guy and girl name, and I’d imagine that the game doesn’t outright say the gender.
They isnt always multiple. Its used when you dont know for sure their gender
@@behgaming1 That’s not true. They and them means multiple people. Literally impossible for it to mean one person

I have a friend named Kacie, she’s a girl, different spelling but same name.
