For anyone interested, I've made a template to help you draw your grids! I've included some of my favorite grid sizes. If this is something you would find useful, please download it for free here: view.flodesk.com/pages/64362e0cfa28aa2f3032009d
I enjoy your commentary - no chit chat just very focused on what you are doing. I like the continual description and analysis of what you are doing, combined with good suggestions for viewers
Thanks a lot for showing another grid. I loved the whole process and that you showed us every little step. I soaked up every word of you, so I can keep them in mind when I create my next grids ❤️
It’s wonderful to watch you build the grids. It’s a great tutorial and hearing your commentary about overdoing, hesitation and the rest is so comforting - it’s so hard to let go of my brain and not be too repetitive. I’ve been trying my hand at grid journaling and needed the distraction of finding that perfect square/rectangle template. I’m going to watch your ‘grid mastery’ a few more times - my perfect template came today. I am so 🤣🥸🤭😂 at myself. Thank you thank you.
I am so glad that watching my videos is helpful for your own creative process! Now that you have the supplies, just jump in and start playing. I think you'll do great! 😍
Bonsoir Je découvre tes vidéos à l'instant et je suis bien tentée... Ton carnet est superbe! Merci pour le partage et pour les grilles... Bonne fin de soirée
I absolutely love this and how you explain your process! I have been dying to try this and I may just get it together and finally do it! Thank you for the inspiration!!!
Well that was really interesting and inspiring watching you work. This is the first time I have seen grid journaling , but I think it’s a great way of learning to loosen up. Thank you
Dot from UK I want to give this a try, it looks a good exercise for just letting go and see where your imagination takes you. Sometimes I'm a bit too controlled in my art and I feel I need to be freer this is just what I needed. I am a big fan of the colours purple and teal and also love gold too. Thank you for sharing. Love from the UK, Dot x.
I think it takes practice, just like anything else! It can be so easy to want to be in complete control of our art. Letting go feels so good, but it's not always easy. Thanks for watching!
Love that you are “teaching” us where your mind set is when creating etc I think this is so helpful for the novice creator who wants to learn more how one creates without having to take a university class😂thank you very much for sharing your knowledge as your final outcome is always a winner. Love your art. 😊forgot to add: I’d like to see orange and maybe blue? Definitely would like to see you use an orange.

I really liked how you explained your process. It really helped me to "get it". I took the Grid Journal Course and started my grid journal. Yay! I love it! Working on getting the whole layer thing to work me. This was especially helpful about pushing stuff into the background and being brave enough to cover stuff up. Thank you!!!!!
I am so glad! Layers are really tough, for sure! I have to continually work at it. It almost feels wrong to cover up what you’ve already done! Good luck with your grid journal!
This is what I need to do. Even as an art student at college I struggled with messy and letting go. I was better with presentation, straight lines, neatness etc! Love your work! Going to do this in a junk journal gift I’m doing!
I’m enjoying your video. I heard Gil Kerr say that she turns her work so her work doesn’t alway look the same. I see you’re working to get variances too!
Great freedom! I’m not a pink person and was missing an additional color at the end. What would happen if you take the pieces of masking tape off at the end…….?
Wow! Which sketchbook are you working in? It’s not in your materials list and I’m struggling to find hardbacks with sturdy enough cartridge paper for this kind of work without being mixed media so thick and hard-sized nothing ‘moves’
I totally get that frustration! I wouldn't say this journal is "perfect" but it has worked really well for my needs! here is the link: www.michaels.com/hardbound-sketchbook-by-artists-loft-8x11/10449298.html

Love this...would love to see different shades of aqua/green/lime, etc. Also...the combination of pink and orange is great.
Great idea!! Those color combos sound inspiring!
This is what I need to do. Even as an art student at college I struggled with messy and letting go. I was better with presentation, straight lines, neatness etc! Love your work! Going to do this in a junk journal gift I’m doing!
I totally understand that struggle! I think my inner self pushes back and forth between allowing myself to let loose and needing structure and order.
Thank you for sharing your art process with us. You inspire me and many others. I love your art and style.
You are so welcome! Thank you!
Really excited to start Grids. Thank you
I'd love to see one with Sepia and maybe and yellowy shades.
Great suggestion!
Oohh, I like the use of the spooly! Need to remember to save mine next time I use up a mascara.
Yes, you should!
i just found your channel, i love this teeny box journal spread! so cute i am going to try it, thank you!
I really appreciate that! Thank you!
Love your grids. So inspiring Brooke. Thanks for sharing your techniques and love how you teach.
I really appreciate that, Mary! I'm glad my teaching style comes across clearly 🥰
Love these layers Brooke!
Thanks so much! 🥰
I would love to see the apple greens, chartreuse colors ... Loving this
This next week's video is greens! 🤍
Love watching you make these grid pages and will defiitely give them a go. Would love to see a brown colour (rusty vibes).
Check out my latest grid journal video if you haven't already. I used earthy tones: ua-cam.com/video/9od5ALeF8Rw/v-deo.html
This is just what I needed to practice. I get stuck, everything I do looks so rigid. This looks freeing. So helpful.
Glad it was helpful! Grid journaling is such a freeing process 🥰
Great spread, would like to see paynes gray and yellow.
that sounds like a yummy combo, thank you for the suggestion!
I’m enjoying your video. I heard Gil Kerr say that she turns her work so her work doesn’t alway look the same. I see you’re working to get variances too!
That so true, and such a good tip! If we always look at things the same way, nothing changes or grows!
Just found your channel and love this grid!
So happy to have you here! I'm glad you love this grid!
Great freedom! I’m not a pink person and was missing an additional color at the end. What would happen if you take the pieces of masking tape off at the end…….?
It would create some fun negative space!
❤
☺️
Beautiful grids!😍 Can I ask what journal you’re working in?
Hi Danielle! This is the journal I'm using: www.michaels.com/hardbound-sketchbook-by-artists-loft-8x11/10449298.html
