Make a base plate for freehand routing

In this video I am making a base plate for my trim router. I will be using my router to carve my initials into my work. I will also use my trim router to embellish my scroll saw pieces. Base plates can cost over $50.00. This one I made for around $20.00.

That was a great idea! I have two routers, but not a trim router...yet. I've been signing my work with a pencil and then covering it with multiple clear coats on the underside of the projects. I like what you are going to do. Enjoyed, take care!

Try using a CNC bit , i have success with them .
