33:40 Tab was talkn directly to me. I was in tears listening. My daughter is planning to move in with her boyfriend this summer. I was having a hard time with it and was praying yesterday and asked God to help me deal with it. They're both good kids, trying to find their way. Like Tab/Chance said in the video, I can't force my upbringing on her and I have to let her experience life -the good and the bad- Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️❤️

The level of wisdom in that letter that Tab wrote at 19 is astounding. Sis God put you on this earth to do exactly what you are doing. We needed you so bad. We needed your light. You are absolutely amazing!
How Tab read that letter without tears is beyond me. Talk about a full circle moment.
She probably did when she read it last week when she got it back
She held it back. Notice the change in her tone and clearing of her throat.
You can tell that she had her moment when she received it. She could barely hold it together at this moment. I could imagine her conversation with her dad.

I have to say you are the most authentic couple Around to date. You are so transparent , relatable Humorous and just give real talk. I really love this episode Y,all got me all chocked up when Chamce was crying what Fine Brother you are Chance your setting the example that it's OK to be vulnerable it shows you are human and does not make you less of a Man if anything it shows how to be a Man. That letter Ms Tab wow was powerful really powerful, I love this story I wish you both continous Strength and Healtj to give chronic out these episodes. As you migrate over to your Podcast I do hope we still get tp see your face as iFeel your visual energy really works and makes these episodes all the more powerful. It's all in God's hands. Dang Tab that letter... I wrote that same letter to my Dad and like you I married my Hubby and thank God we're still together. More importantly my Dad and I mended our relationship and my Hubby was the son to my Dad that my Dad never had because there's me and my sister Ronnie (Veronica). My Dad transcended 12 years ago and I'm honored that when he took that last breathe, I was there holding his hand and I had made him proud. 📝

I listened to the episode on my car ride and first, Chance has a great speaking voice, second Tab been wise! That letter was beautiful which brings me to my third, I needed a trigger warning cause I was crying when you read your letter. It was so heartfelt❤ I felt the love you have for your Dad and Chance❤

Married or single, parents can lose themselves once they become parents.
I lost myself after having my 1ST son, I learned that being who/what he needed me to be DID NOT require me to sacrifice who I was!!
I learned, being a mom is only a part of who I am, it is not the sum or total of who I am.
I have my own interests, goals, wants & desires, needs, dreams, & etc...
All parents must remember the essence of who they are and find things/ways to nurture it.
Sometimes, you have to remind yourself of who you are; bc there will be moments/times that you will forgot or neglect who you are as an individual/person.

It definitely happens in my marriage! My husband fell on his hand and wouldn’t go to doctor! But complains about it when I ask him to pick me up 😂or anything heavy

When you take a chance on someone you love without expectations with all of your heart and decide to put family on the back burner as to not have them to tell you "shoulda woulda coulda" and over stepping their boundaries as the old folks would say, You learn together and depend on each other more than Ever than running home to the safety Net. Life Lessons Teach us to be more Humble as we get older. I remember someone telling me when I was very young "sometimes a taught lesson is just as bad as a bought lesson."
I think making your own rules that happens naturally sometimes in marriage. However, as a Christian there is a rule book for us to assist in your relationship with Christ. It is called the word of the Lord. You can find truth and wisdom to conduct your life there. It is not, I am saved so I am on my own. God gives us guidelines for living, and it is important that they are there for Christians and non believers also.

I sure did cry with Chance! That was my husband's mother (shacking!!) and my Grandfather called my then boyfriend now husband of 16 years the "SITUATION I WAS LIVING IN"😂😂😂 But what God means for good is gonna be what it be!!! Another thing to share with Choyce is how much experiencing being her parents has brought joy, fun, and a love you never imagined into your lives. And yes, it comes along with the moving, arguments, difficulties of learning how to be parents, married, and people just trying to make it in this world. It does balance. And I know she saw the biggest example, that of love for each other over everything.
