Woah, I had searched for a wireless thermal 4x6, and didnt think anybody made one yet. Which did seem off for 2020, or even 2010. Dude thanks !!!! I’m printing off my phone. Most people dream of going to Europe. My dream was to print wirelessly from my phone. With that said….when I do off my phone it prints and take two labels each time. Is there a setting for phone that I need to adjust ?
Hello! Appreciate the video - can I check if this supports remote printing out of the box? i.e. printing from home WIFI, with the printer connected to office WIFI
It's crazy how the price on Amazon now is $324.02USD I'll just wait till the price goes down. Cause that's an awesome printer Edit: the price on the Brother website is $279.99 USD
I just bought one on insight.com for $289. Most other sources were $40 or $50 over that price, if they had them at all. It's a hot commodity printer right now.
There is a checkbox indicating "Adjust to 4" (101.6mm) label. Then explains "Adjust the printing margin when printing 4" (101.6mm) shipping carrier labels on 4.07" x 164mm) or 4.07"(103mm) continuous roll. If I select a 4" x 6" label the printer will not print and gives message that label is wrong size. Am I missing something obivious?
Have both the QL-1110NWB and the QL-810W. Got the 810 a few years ago, but wanted to do shipping figuring I'd sell off the 810 - They're not cheap right lol ... anyhow, as both are sat side by side, and I changed labels often in the 810 depending on what I needed. I figured I'll just keep both, keeping the one 1110 for shipping labels. Over £350 worth of printers ... worth it, for me, hell yes! They're excellent, never given me a days trouble. Great review!
Are you able to use the wps button to make it sync up with a mobile hotspot? Also how would I do that on a galaxy s21? Any information is greatly appreciated
I Need you help. I have a question about this Printer. I Love the fact that the Printer is wireless. There are Not that many out there that are. I was just confused about the endless labels for the printer… does that mean I would have to cut each printed label from another After printing like for example 50 labels? Or does it autocrop Those labels too? Or is it possible to buy shipping label rolls That are already cropped and wont need to be cut by hand? This confused me a little. I hope you can help me with this. Do you know any other printer that might be wireless and will work with Shopify? I liked the MYNBYN from all the information but it is only working when connected with the USB and Laptop. That’s just not good 🙈 Thank you very much! 😊
I love brother products. Bought one of their cheapest laser printers. Has printed thousands of pages without a hiccup. Can't say that about epsom or HP.
The place I got it from raised the price but a quick search yielded this result: www.bluedogink.com/brother-ql-1110nwb.html Hope this works for you! If not, keep searching and you’ll find what you need.
thank you for this video. Does this printer make only 'black on white' labels, and is it possible to include designs in text fields? I am looking for possibility to print labels for cosmetic products (cremes, lotions, shampoos etc). thank you for any tips.
A lot better device compared to DYMO in so many ways. Had two Dymo label printers - both broke really fast. Thanks for the video - it encouraged me to purchase my Brother printer!
What about software compatibility? CorelDraw? Adobe Illustrator? You never covered that. How did you print all the labels from the grid on separate labels? Print quaility?
I bought this printer based on your review! Was super excited to use it! However the brother iprint&scan connection with the printer has been the most frustrating setup I've ever dealt with, and it still wont work. The app wont even find the printer via wifi or bluetooth. 3 hours I lost troubleshooting. Sad, because wifi and bluetooth was the feature that pushed me to buy it. Edit: Everything works great now :'D!! on their website it says Iprint&scan for the support & downloads which threw me off! no regrets purchasing this label maker
I'm so sorry to hear that! 😟 Did you follow the tutorials that I have or the printer instructions? Comments like this help me improve tutorials or help target specific problems in the setup. It could many things from a mac address filter on your wifi to incompatible devices (bluetooth doesn't work on iOS devices) I hope it will get sorted out 🙏
@@thecollegepicker thanks, I contacted brother support so hopefully it gets sorted! When I figure out the issue I'll let you know! Followed their instructions and yours when it wasn't working :( tried it out on Android and iphone. Will try the mac address filter! I want to love this printer 😭
Are you able to get a solid wifi light when you connect it to WPS? The starter labels they give you are 4.07x6.04 inches and I never mentioned that in my tutorials because I got it used. If the correct size label isn't picked it'll gibe a red blinking light error.
@@thecollegepicker Yup! Solid green wifi light! the printer itself is working fine through the computer, and it also shows up on my wifi and bluetooth on my phone! It just wont connect when using the brother iprint&scan app for whatever reason :( very weird.
Ahhh ok, that app doesn't work with this printer, it's not supposed to. I don't think I ever mention that app, where did you get that app from? You use brother print service plug in to get it working on android and ilabel is the app if you want to print custom labels. The picture of the app look nearly identical and I could see where you got confused now.
@@thecollegepicker thank you for replying fast, it shows that you care about your subscribers nothing is plugged in, i just try to go on my mac pro laptop i connected it and i c the printer name but when i click on it it opens in music and it wasn't doing that at first
PSA: I’ve gotten this printer and had trouble initially setting up using WPS with an iMac. I used the usb cable that came with it and downloaded all the recommended software from brother. Then I connected via WiFi while the printer was attached via cable to the computer. When I would unplug the cable the printer would read “offline.” I shut the printer off and reconnected to WiFi and it’s all connected now. Usb cable is unplugged and we are chugging away via AirPrint. Don’t give up. I found that once the WiFi password has been imputed WPS will work, but not before.
I must have watched this in my sleep because I must have wished for it. I have it now and I went to learn about it and it says I watched the video half through. Thanks for putting this in my self conscious so when I saw it in the bins I grabbed it
I print all of my labels from my desktop at home. Is there any advantage to using a wireless printer? Can I save money by not going with a wireless printer? This one is a bit pricey for me. Any recommendations for a more budget-friendly option would be appreciated.
What is the trick to setting up the printer to use the Betckey shipping shipping labels? I keep getting an error "The roll of labels or tape inside the machine does not match the one selected in the application." This is with a variety of different labels sizes selected. Thank you!
@@thecollegepicker Each time I print a label, I have to change the properties. I hit print and when the print screen pops up, I select properties for the Brother QL-1100. It takes me to the Brother Printer properties. 1st select the OTHER tab and change from inch to mm, 2nd select the BASIC tab and change the paper size to 102x152 and 3rd APPLY and PRINT.
I just got mine in from watching this video glades I waited all this time for the right printer. I’m printing labels from blue tooth just to test out and the label font aren’t printing as clear. Is there anyway to fix that?
I bought a new Brother-1110NWB printer that worked great (Brother should give you a commission :-). I purchased the 241 labels through Amazon and can't figure out how to reset for the 4" x 6" labels. I see you can make the changes by going to the setting on the Printer Program, but it doesn't seem to let you make those changes. Do you have to reinstall to get the 4" x 6" labels to work?
Appreciate the kind words! Try resetting the printer, the starter roll they give you is slightly different than Amazon refills, the reset should help. Turn off the printer. Press and hold the Power ( ) and Cutter ( ) Buttons for about one second. The Status LED lights in orange and the Wi-Fi® LED flashes in green. Continue holding down the Power ( ) Button. Press the Cutter ( ... Release the Power ( ) Lemme know how it goes 👍
For the compatible labels (Kingdom brand you linked above on Amazon), should we be using the Board, Support Tube, and Sensor that comes with them, or the board, support tube, and sensor that came with the original Brother printer and starter labels? Thanks.
Great videos. Are you able to send labels to this printer when out of town (without VPN, etc.) so family can ship for you when away? This would be similar to HP ePrint functionality (and presumably the Zebra ZSB?). Strongly prefer this printer over the Zebra except for this possible caveat. Thanks for the input!
Thanks! Your videos are very helpful. I just bought a Brother QL-1110nwb and I was hoping you can help me with two things. First how I replace the paper roll with a compatible brand 4 x 6 and second if I want to print the shipping labels from Mercari on my Iphone. I know Mercari can be difficult, I learn from you how to fix that ; but I was thinking if you may have any new ideas about how to do this.
Mercari from a phone are really hard. You'll need a pdf app that can crop label and rotate it. How to change labels can you normally find on the Amazon page that you bought the labels from. They often have videos on how to change roll.
thanks for the video Eric! @thecollegepicker it's great. if you know the answers to these questions I'd appreciate the input. 1- I saw you printed the amazon skus from a PC, assuming it also works for Mac? 2- does the printer only print out the smaller labels because it's recognizing the skus? can I print standard just text on the smaller labels and it will work for that too?
May not works in the same way on mac. But you should be able to print skus in some way. And yes. You can print anything on any labels in black and white.
I’m trying to replace handwriting labels for my TCGPlayer card orders. This is working for the 4x6 tracking labels, but how would I get it to print out the smaller (included) labels for non-tracked PWE (Plain White Envelope) orders? I’m on mac. Already have my return address stamp, just need the basic 3 lines of name, address, city/state/zip
thank you so much for this video. I have a problem with my printer been offline for a week and it only took me 5 minutes of watching you to reset it and connected to my MacBook and to my iPhone via bluetooth :)
I have never purchased anything from Shopify before, but it appears they have them in stock! Purchased for $279.00 plus tax + free 2-5 day shipping! I really hope this works out!!!
I sometimes print return labels from different companies and they can be slightly different sizes. Is there a way to ensure that the design will automatically fit on the largest size labels?
@thecollegepicker , I’ve bought the printer. Can we agree that not only does it print upside down, the labels are not sufficiently flat when coming out, which is in my opinion the annoying part of working with rolled up labels.
Yes I think that is fair. Some rolled label brands come out more rolled than others, which can also hurt with adhesive to boxes because sometimes corners will roll back and peel, not specific just to this printer though 😢
Hey, thanks for the video. I set mine up and it's been fine until I recently changed out the roll for some Amazon rolls that are supposed to work with the printer. Now it keeps reading Out of Paper, have you experienced the same thing? Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks
@@thecollegepicker thank you for the update. I generally wanted to know. I'm looking to update for my business and don't have a lot of knowledge. Thank you for your video.
If you were to use it on your POS system you need to make sure your POS system supports it. Also, for the receipt paper you may need to use the Brother DK-N5224 roll however it is around 2 inches wide.
Thank you for your review. Just wanted to know a couple of things. Does this machine print in color? Do the labels removeand peel off cleanly? Does the label smear if water gets on it?
Do other Brother thermal printers such as the QL-700 have the Auto crop feature of being able to recognize where the labels are? And what size labels are those?
I am not sure but rollo makes a chrome extension that does the same thing for all printers. I now use the chrome extension exclusively for that. I have a video on my channel showing how to use it on mac.
What is the Label app used when making own label ?? I have a chocolate business and want to print labels with ingredients and nutritional info on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Do I need a computer at all for this product? Like for set up, software install, etc. I don't have a computer and want to print straight from my android phone.
Hi great video just what I was looking for after spending hours researching! I think il purchase this one, one question you mentioned you need to change on the settings when you change the paper roll size how do you do that?
You will have to change the settings on the computer. If you still are getting the red light try resetting the printer Turn off the printer. Press and hold the Power ( ) and Cutter ( ) Buttons for about one second. ... Continue holding down the Power ( ) Button, and press the Cutter ( ) Button six times to reset all settings (including device settings) to the factory settings. Release the Power ( ) Button. the starter roll that brother sends isnt the same as the amazon replacements and some people have problems with the transfer.
I don’t have WiFi/internet service. So I still need a router? For my iPhone/iPad? Sorry I don’t know much about this tech stuff, I’m old school but trying to learn. 🤔
Thanks for this review. I'll be getting the QL-1100 (non wifi version) for printing etsy labels. I thought about the rollo but I like having all the labels on a roll inside the machine. I don't need the wifi feature so I can save $100 by getting the usb version. I've been using generic labels in my QL-570 for years now and they work just fine.
You are welcome. You can print Etsy labels in 2x7 format with pirate ship with your ql570 if you really want to save some cash 🙌. Limited to USPS domestic but still awesome feature.
I have a video on my channel talking about the 2 by 7 roll out with pirate ship. it kind of explains the integration and it's a really cool hack to use that printer for Etsy.
I had this printer and sent it back. It was slow and wouldn't automatically cut via my Mac Book. Now, the non-wireless version is amazing. I'll never by anything else. 👍
Help! I have the exact same printer and it cuts every two labels instead of every label and I have tried to tinker with all settings i could find but still no change. I didn't have this problem when i used the genuine brother labels that came with the printer but since i switched to a cheaper label which is exactly 4x6 inch (the genuine brother labels were 4.07x6.4 inch) But if I adjust the setting to 4x6" it'll show this error " The media installed in the machine does not match the one selected in the application."
I just changed mine out as well and it is printing and cutting every 2 labels as well! I'm trying to trouble shoot it! It must be the registration mark??
@@cvelazquez09 I'm not sure either. When I print directly from Chrome browser it cut every label as normal. Seems like it only cut every 2 labels when I print from Acrobat Reader or P-touch Editor.
I have found a seller who says the automatic cutter is an 'Extra Option' do these come with and without then? What if I don't get the 'Extra Option'? It won't cut? I guess I can then rip it off or?

Woah, I had searched for a wireless thermal 4x6, and didnt think anybody made one yet. Which did seem off for 2020, or even 2010. Is crazy how much the price jumps from say the Dymo 450/Turbo to the 4XL for the print head...and its not wireless. Rollo looks to make a better, easier to use printer than Dymo, minus the external label stack taking up desk real estate. Thanks CP!
Right! 10 years behind. China has some Bluetooth sausage style ones like Rollo that are clunky and terrible workflow. Rollo is working with China on a new private label wireless one that should come out this year. Except the sausage style and all the desk space 😞. Thanks for checking out the video 🙏🙏
hi there, great video! just bought one. My question is, how do i print the amazon labels from my imac to the machine? I just tried and all the labels printed onto one single label! help please?! I wouldnt know how to print my SKU labels otherwise from my imac...
Hi
Did you solved the problem?
I have the same issue.
Thanks
Really want this but it’s freakin $600 on amazon now just crazy
Wow virus prices gone nuts. It'll come down again when they resupply.
thecollegepicker is there another brand you highly recommend for shipping labels? Currently binge watching all your videos 😂😂
They all have pros and cons. This one is the most fancy with mobile wireless printing. 🥰🙏 Appreciate the support
That's CRAZY I just got this one on Amazon for like $100 two weeks ago. wow!
Believe it or not you can get them for like 20$ or less on wish and they work.
Dude thanks !!!! I’m printing off my phone. Most people dream of going to Europe. My dream was to print wirelessly from my phone. With that said….when I do off my phone it prints and take two labels each time. Is there a setting for phone that I need to adjust ?
Thanks a ton!!!!!!!!!! I’m convinced that this is the label printer I need!!
You are welcome 😊
Hello! Appreciate the video - can I check if this supports remote printing out of the box? i.e. printing from home WIFI, with the printer connected to office WIFI
It's crazy how the price on Amazon now is $324.02USD
I'll just wait till the price goes down. Cause that's an awesome printer
Edit: the price on the Brother website is $279.99 USD
shiinel love today it's $379 on Amazon
Lolll it's now 600$
I have to wait
I just bought one on insight.com for $289. Most other sources were $40 or $50 over that price, if they had them at all. It's a hot commodity printer right now.
Forget that post above. I just found out that insight is out of stock too! :-(
There is a checkbox indicating "Adjust to 4" (101.6mm) label.
There's loads of these available in England for those who would be happy to pay international shipping
Hey can you provide with a link please? Im interested in purchasing one
I'll have one message me
I need too if there is any possibility
Hello I'm interested
Really well done. I was looking for a printer for Amazon FBA and the minute you said that, I light bulb went on in my head!
Glad I could help!
I’m an arkscan guy. Like dymo4xl. However that printer looks amazing
I'll get my hands on an arkscan one of these days 🤘🙏 that KS for checking it out. Appreciate you watching, it's a great printer.

Do you have a video on how to convert settings to print skus? Thanks in advance
So I have to buy brother label rolls or I can use standard universal 4” labels ?
Great question! We go over that towards the second half of the video.
Appreciate you letting me know your experience and checking out the video! Glad you are enjoying the setup =)
Are you able to use the wps button to make it sync up with a mobile hotspot? Also how would I do that on a galaxy s21? Any information is greatly appreciated
I actually laughed out loud at 4:15 😂
🤣🤣 you already know it 🙏🙏
I was finished!😂I came from why you shouldn't buy the Dymo, so it really killed me!
Great video! Will the ink fade after few years as this is a thermal printer. I want to use this for Scrapbooking.
00:55 wow very interesting, but not available in India
Oh no 😭 hopefully they will have it one day.
You're a legend!😂
Appreciate it mate 🙏
Which settings do I need to use to print out single barcodes when Amazon gives me a full A4 page of barcodes?
These are sold out EVERYWHERE!!!!
Saw some on ebay
Juicy Jam I just looked, 419.00 is a bit too expensive. Sheesh.
I know i guess we all have to wait😟
Yeah its crazy so hard to get now.
I love brother products.
Bought one of their cheapest laser printers. Has printed thousands of pages without a hiccup.
Can't say that about epsom or HP.
Hi! Have you actually attempted to use other normal labels on the brother printer? If so how does it respond? Thank you!
It will not work because it has a sensor that reads the black square which tells the machine the distance between labels.
Thank you for all of your help!! I love this printer so much and by searching diligently was able to find one that wasn’t $300 before taxes! 💖
You are welcome, that's awesome! Good hunting skills 💪

Omg where can I find one ???

Hello!
Thank you for the video. I would like to know if continuous rolls can be used as in the Brother QL810W.
Thanks!!
Continuous rolls are compatible (with the exception of the red and black rolls)
thank you for this video.
I agree 💯 glad you are enjoying the brother much better design ☺️
What about software compatibility? CorelDraw? Adobe Illustrator? You never covered that. How did you print all the labels from the grid on separate labels? Print quaility?
It'll print from a document file or program. I haven't made a tutorial for windows Amazon grid print. It's 300dpi quality.
The picture of the app look nearly identical and I could see where you got confused now.
hello dear, loved the video but i have a mac pro but its not connecting wirelessly . can you please help?
Is the printer iconnected to the wifi or by USB?
@@thecollegepicker thank you for replying fast, it shows that you care about your subscribers
nothing is plugged in, i just try to go on my mac pro laptop i connected it and i c the printer name but when i click on it it opens in music and it wasn't doing that at first
@@thecollegepicker how comes a few comments are saying they can't connect it with mac?
They must not be doing it right. I haven't done a tutorial for Mac yet 😭
thecollegepicker please do one 🙏 I am willing to pay for that 😂
PSA: I’ve gotten this printer and had trouble initially setting up using WPS with an iMac.
Appreciate the thoughtful walkthough =)

Thank you!
I just had to ask and then it worked. Sorry!
Awesome! A lot of people are having this issue, what did you do to make it work?

Hi, thank you, for this video! I want to know, does it work with USPS labeling as well and when it print out is it a sticker? Thanks again!
Yes and yes 😊
thecollegepicker Thanks again!
Great video! Purchased printer. Any advice on how to center USPS or UPS labels?
Thanks! Have you set the source label settings to 4x6?
In setting up Got it as a printer option with your help But labels are printing too small not filling allowed 4 x 6” label space. Help?
I’m having the same problem. What am I doing wrong?
Release the Power ( )
Lemme know how it goes 👍
For the compatible labels (Kingdom brand you linked above on Amazon), should we be using the Board, Support Tube, and Sensor that comes with them, or the board, support tube, and sensor that came with the original Brother printer and starter labels? Thanks.
I use the ones with the Amazon box. The brother one is for a slightly different size
@@thecollegepicker ok thanks!
Question: Does it print in color, and, can you upload your own label designs from JPG or PDF?
Good question, it does not print in color.
You hit everything point as a reviewer. Thanks
Is this the same size as the Dymo 4xl?
Looking for same label size holder as the 4XL DYMO that keeps jamming

You can make it in brothers own software, in a word document. Pretty much any software that supports a custom paper size.

I sometimes print return labels from different companies and they can be slightly different sizes. Is there a way to ensure that the design will automatically fit on the largest size labels?
Can you use this with big cartel
Thanks

Hi, and thanks. No color. Depends on the surface, and no smear with water.
Thank you. I appreciate your time. The sad thing is this printer in not available anywhere.
Yeah it sells out fast on Amazon. I post on instagram when it comes back in stock then it sells out in hours. Gotta keep checking.
I have the same printer. I can’t print barcodes. What paper size you select for the smaller roller for the barcode?
Do other Brother thermal printers such as the QL-700 have the Auto crop feature of being able to recognize where the labels are? And what size labels are those?
I am not sure but rollo makes a chrome extension that does the same thing for all printers. I now use the chrome extension exclusively for that. I have a video on my channel showing how to use it on mac.

Hi great video just what I was looking for after spending hours researching! I think il purchase this one, one question you mentioned you need to change on the settings when you change the paper roll size how do you do that?

Continue holding down the Power ( ) Button, and press the Cutter ( ) Button six times to reset all settings (including device settings) to the factory settings.

I don’t have WiFi/internet service. So I still need a router? For my iPhone/iPad? Sorry I don’t know much about this tech stuff, I’m old school but trying to learn. 🤔
Use Bluetooth in that case. WiFi is needed for AirPrint. But as Eric shows, it works fine with Bluetooth too.
I havent been able to get it to work with ios on bluetooth only =(
