    I need to start doing this tuning technique instead of waiting to be able to afford a 7 string

      The only issue is that you can't be tuned like any other bands! But yeah if it's for original content it'll be great :D

    Playing 7 strings song on 6 strings is a different breed bro. Great job with the cover. Since i only have schecter zacky vengeance it’s super hard to find the cover with 6 strings. Keep up the good work bro.

    Nice cover mate. What string gauges are you using?

    • @RobinLeneutre
      @RobinLeneutre  5 років тому +13

      Thanks man! I use a 0.12-0.60 (which is quite good for drop c/b) and replace the lowest strin by a 0.74 that can be tuned either in G# or F# for Architects songs :)

    Je l'savais ! Bien joué l'ami ;)
    Question chiante de geek : tu as quel tirant, notamment sur la corde de F#?
    J'ai fait plusieurs tests et le prochain concerne du .80 peut être que tu joues sur légèrement moins gros?

    • @RobinLeneutre
      @RobinLeneutre  4 роки тому +1

      Salut Clément! Sur les covers d’architects j’avais pris du .74! Ça mériterais clairement du .80 mais il faudrait percer les mécaniques haha
      Le .74 ça suffit mais faut pas attaquer comme un bourrin non plus!

      @@RobinLeneutre Effarant de réactivité !
      Merci beaucoup pour les infos, effectivement je pense que je vais devoir violenter un peu mes mécaniques :/
      J'aime beaucoup le fait d'avoir ces deux octaves côte à côte, vu que je suis sur 7 cordes je vais en profiter pour m'approprier un ersatz d'open.
      Je continue mon visionnage sur ta chaîne, que j'apprécie décidément de plus en plus :D

    • @RobinLeneutre
      @RobinLeneutre  4 роки тому

      Haha Merci énormément! Après ya pas mal de groupes qui jouent dans cette accordage maintenant, Wage War en fait parti! Mais faut que ce soit réfléchi car creuser dans les mécaniques c’est irréversible même si au pire si tu te rates ça se rachète 😂
      Ca me fait plaisir que tu apprécies tout ça 😀😀😀

    I play a 28" scale baritone and I just can't imagine that low f# on a standard scale guitar. Sounds good and the string doesn't seem to be to floppy. What is it like an 80 on the low string?

    • @RobinLeneutre
      @RobinLeneutre  3 роки тому

      Haha I know I play on a 28 8string guitar!
      I don’t remember but something like .74? I remember it still was a bit floppy, I had to control my picking attack haha

  • @Cade411

    • @RobinLeneutre

  • @timokilic3227
    @timokilic3227 5 років тому

    Great! Did you drop the whole guitar with Digitech or something? Does not look like you´re using a super thick gauge on the low string

    • @RobinLeneutre
      @RobinLeneutre  5 років тому

      Thanks Timo! Actually it’s all from the string gauge, no effects on that! I don’t remember the gauge but the first string is from a 7 string pack haha

    • @Donjuanthesecond
      @Donjuanthesecond 5 років тому +1

      True dat, tried these tunings both with a 6 string and 7 string and that low E/B really flops around. Out of curiosity what string gauge you using? Specifically on that low E? And as per another comment, the guitar is sweet dude, actually looked at the ec-1000 vintage Duncan, but ended up buying the ec-1000 fluence tiger eye. I love it, lot of fun to play.

    • @RobinLeneutre
      @RobinLeneutre  5 років тому +2

      @@Donjuanthesecond I basically use 12-60 for Drop B and I went with a .74 for that low one! I'm not sure though, so if you own a 7 string guitar maybe try some of the strings you already have for it! It's still not suitable for an EC to go that low so it'll never be perfect but good enough for a cover I guess haha!

      @RobinLeneutre  5 років тому +1

      KebapRocker You may not find what you want! What I do is trying to work on the track EQ and remove parts where you hear guitars attack, so my guitars make it through the mix :)
