I just got my Kongsheng LYRA C chromatic from Rockin Rons today. I have to wait a little while before playing since the outside temperature is roughly fourty degrees, & it was sitting on my porch for some time before bringing it in (letting it acclimate). I am amazed at the quality of this instrument. It even came with spare buffers for the slide! Even the box it came in was very professionally secure. You can tell Kongsheng takes pride in their work. No other keys available yet I've seen (dying for one in B flat). Anyone who plays harmonica should look into this beauty. And thanks Dave, for the great review. Happy New Year.
Great breakdown of this Awesome Kongsheng "LYRA" Chromatic Harmonica Maestro Kettlewell!!! I really love the reed plates inserts into the comb, Riveting of the Reeds, the Stainless Steel Mouthpiece, it's Beautiful Covers Construction and The Tone of The Kongsheng "LYRA" Is Divine!!! Can't wait to play this Vanguard of "Air Tight" Chromatic Harmonicas!!!♥️⚕😎
David, can I ask you a question? If you had to play one harmonica for the rest of your days, and you had to choose between the Easttop performer or the Kongsheng Lyra. What would be your choice?
Appears yours had a plastic (silicone?) bumper on the far stop near the 1 hole - mine didn’t (or I lost it - but I’m pretty careful about such things) - did yours? Not sure the slide would line up correctly pushed in - if so & you think it would - how would you acquire or make - don’t see that Kongsheng is selling parts yet - another?
Questions on parts and parts availability are best answered by the manufacturer, Wang Ecki on FB is their sales manager. I have no personal experience with the need for Kongsheng parts, nor do I have an answer to your question.
Hi my friend, i m fine to see you again with new chromatic to show us... not easy by youtube to ear, it s seems in the same line than the Easttop harmonica, bronze reeds... can you compare these sounds xiyh a Hohner model? Nice to you Clakos your friend on harmonica

I don't think I'll play any harp until I no longer play. LYRA is a superior harp at present, but Easttop is a fine firm and constantly improving.
I'm at the same crossroads as you were 3 years ago actually, but I'll order this Kongsheng Lyra. What harp did you buy?
