Heigo Heeringas my other 124 only has a non memory drivers electric seat - as im the only one that drives it it never gets used. It will probably last 100 years. I doubt reds pair will ever get much use either. Electric seats were optional here.
My switches seem ok but it seems I have a faulty OVP relay so if you ever have time please make a DIY on repairing the overvoltage protection relay. :P thanks for all the good info. :)
My seat switches have always worked intermittently, lately some directions have just died (can bring it forward but not back, same with the backrest, but they all sound clicky and healthy. Do you think this may be because of cold solder joints/cracked? I'm planning on disassembling everything this weekend to see if I can bring them back to life...
It is certainly a possibility or it can be the individual switches themselves. I had success rebuilding mine from a couple spares, essentially all the individual switches are the same and can be repurposed in any position if you have any other spares like I did. I was able to make 1 good mechanism from 2. There also are plenty of sellers on ebay with tested good ones if pulling it apart is not for you.

Good job. I changed my switch recently, but looks like you could have fixed it, Because only one switch was gone
