Yes. And there's nothing wrong in being mediocre. Trying to achieve "better" in everything can easily lead you to mental health issues, even with important stuff. Yes, you want quality time with your family, but it's ok that you get tired too and just want to vent off some slack time alone. You're still a human.
If you're in better shape you will absolutely have better quality of life but there's a right and a wrong way to do everything. I would recommend fasting it's literally a miracle worker
I bought cheap tobacco when I first bought my pipe just to learn how to pack it and light it without wasting money on good tobacco. Red River I believe it was called. It was horrible lol. It’s very much how I imagine a cigarette would taste. It was also extremely dry and full of stems. It did help me learn how to pack and light without wasting good tobacco though.
Starting off with my comment, I smoked a bottomless pit of the insides of swisher sweets because I had a lot of friends that smoked blunts daily. Cut cigarillo, throw out brown leaves, put in green. Honestly it was so fun and funny. But this better than Marlboro reds bag of dirt cheap tobacco, it funny enough a burns better than swisher tobacco. Mostly because I probably didn’t know what I was doing when I first started(yes I started to just smoke the endless free tobacco). Well now that Iv moved on from those times, I ironically have DB(direct buy) tobacco as my main tobacco. It was like $13 after tax for 16oz. Honestly it just smells like Marlboro reds. Doesn’t smell off like cigarettes after you burn them. They smell fine like just low quality pipe tobacco plus they don’t leave much sticky ash like my swishers for some reason. They say pipe tobacco, but it comes in the colors of cigarette packs. Red(smells like Marlboro reds), silver(silver), gold(gold), blue(idk probably some blue cigarettes), green(menthol). I swear they say pipe tobacco. But they are good enough. I put them in cleaned jars of spaghetti and drop some whiskey/water/rum in them and let it rehydrate. Realistically if you can find a cigarette tobacco bag, that’s good enough quality… hey… it’s dirt cheap. As I said, it honestly just smells fine like raisins and apples. Lime them pack of reds.
Just so you know, that's a RYO product. I been using it and OHM for years. It's also not going to help you lose weight because nicotine is an appetite suppressant but it has almost none. I only use it for RYO but it does nothing for my heart rate and doesn't make me light headed. I'm going to guess the actual nicotine is around 0.2mg now, where 5 years ago it was more like 10mg. I never use a pipe but if I did I most certainly would NOT put that into it.

Okay so anybody who smokes Gambler tobacco did not start with Gambler tobacco. They started with Marlboro or camel or Newport and they became addicted to it and life does what life does, and money got tight. they needed a cheaper way to appease their addiction, and gambler is what that is. It's the Pabst Blue ribbon or the Old Crow of tobacco, You know what I mean? I used to smoke cigarettes (Marlboro Reds 20years). I began smoking a pipe recently, and I have checked locally (Charleston SC) for pipe tobacco at every single "smoke shop" and every single one only sells gambler.. however, I have never actually been curious enough, brave enough or perhaps desperate enough to buy gambler. Like I said that is cigarette tobacco. I don't know why they call it "pipe tobacco" possibly something to do with taxes, I don't think it'll fall into the cigarette tax category if they call it pipe tobacco. Since you say you've never smoked cigarettes, I would be very curious for you to go buy a pack of say, Marlboro reds, stick it in your pipe or just smoke a butt and tell me what you think about the flavor. I I'm not a Gambler, but if I were, I would bet it's going to be a lot like that stuff right there.
Funny enough, i got into pipe smoking about two years ago and here in NE FL we dont have any real tobacconists. The only place you MIGHT find even that cigarette-tier tobacco are local headshops. I luckily had a friend who referred me to the Country Squire for tobacco blends after explaining to me that those big bags in the headshops or big-box stores are literally cigarette tobacco labeled as pipe tobacco to avoid paying ATF taxes.
Jason I enjoy your videos, not only because they're informational for me as a new pipe smoker, but because of the entertainment value and all your talk about self-improvement. It resonates with me since I was in the Army back when the slogan was "Be all you can be!"
I actually use the Gambler or American Club Red pipe tobacco for making cigarettes. Why pipe tobacco for cigarettes? I don't even know. I did about 10 years in prison not smoking at all, I got out about a year ago and didn't want to spend 12 bucks a pack to smoke so I got a 20 dollar machine and a box of 'filter tubes' for 2.99 for 200 tubes,(a carton of cigarettes). But that still doesn't answer the question, "why pipe tobacco for cigarettes?" It was what was on the shelf, I have never seen bags of tobacco that say "filter tube tobacco" etc. In any case I agree with most of the 'philosophy of mediocrity' or 'settle for less'. But from my personal experience with this tobacco has been pretty good. As a matter of fact I often find that the bags are almost too moist, they don't burn well in the cigarette format. Perhaps the taste is mitigated by the filter and so that's why I don't find it as repulsive as you.lol. also you have to remember that this is a perishable product. The longer it sits on the shelf, the dryer it gets. I live in Massachusetts and a pretty poor community so this stuff is used continuously to save money, therefore it doesn't sit long on a shelf. People buy it so the stores re stock and we get much fresher product than one might find on a Walmart shelf. That bag you had probably was sitting there a year or so. Sorry for writing a book.lol
Sh!t like this puts a bad light on pipe smoking. I remember when the 'premium cigar' discussion came up, where they later differenciatet between premium hand rolled cigars and the cheap crap made with paper as a binder, that was often times flavored and disguised under the name "cigar". Lawmakers wanted to put all "Cigars" in the same boat, which would have damaged the premium cigar industry. And the same discussion needs to be had with this "Pipe Tobacco".

A good last resort to have around if you run out but definitely smoke it slow and use a regular lighter you have to smoke it very slow or else the nasty harshness ensues .
aaaarrrggghhhh! regardless of what it really is for, let me make your next pipe bowl one of the best for ages. Here in Australia, we pay around $15 AUD per bowl for pipe tobacco, which is why my shirt says, "brew your own, grow your own, leave me alone" lol
I like the way you always say "tobacco pipe" as if you more frequently smoke something else. But seriously, I'm getting a late start but am always trying some kind of "life hacking" to make myself better. I find lots of inspiration on UA-cam. As for our society being fat, stupid and lazy, I think it's all about education. We no longer invest enough in quality public education.
Yeah that’s the way to smoke it. I like cheap pipe tobacco but gambler is not really pipe tobacco just labeled pipe tobacco. Something like gas station sail tobacco is good enough for me though the tins are just too expensive
Ok, just buy the tubes for $3 and you have a $8 carton of cigarettes. Where else are you going to find that? I don't know, but that bag is $7 here. Oh, you also need an injector, but that will work forever to make future $8 cartons of cigarettes. You can sell them on the street corners and be like a cigarette dealer. Avoid the 800% tax on products made from tobacco by buying the tobacco itself. Done.
It’s garbage and not even pipe tobacco I believe they market this that way to keep from having to keep it in a cigarette free tax class! For example if you go to say a state in the north eastern United States cigarettes are very expensive so people switch to ryo cigarettes and buy this “ pipe tobacco “ to roll their own cigs! Well I’m here to tell you it’s not pipe tobacco!
Life is too short to smoke that shit. If you want to smoke cigarettes (not recommended), get Drum. Better yet, smoke a pipe (don't inhale). Edit: I should have watched the whole thing. My original comment still stands.

I use Golden harvest by Rueseco they are a north carolina tobacco maker. Buoy is another kind made by rueseco. I might spelled names wrong. I roll mine into cigarettes. Gambler is cheaper but pipe tobacco brands are tax dodge. So we can lesser taxes.
I used that stuff to make my cigarettes I wouldn't put that in my pipes. I don't smoke cigarettes anymore. Love the taste of real pipe tobacco like Sir Walter, Prince Albert, Velvet, RussThe Taxman cometh, and many others.
I'd like this guy to unroll a couple of regular commercial brand cigarettes and try smoking it in his pipe. He'd probably find it's similar to that gambler tobacco except the gambler actually tastes better and cost less. That gambler tobacco isn't really meant for smoking in a pipe. I don't really care for it that way either but in a cigarette it's fine. I smoke a pipe once in a while and I use way different flavors of pipe tobacco in it. It cost much less to buy this gambler types of tobacco and make your own cigarettes.

Great video😊
Its Basically a mediocre video.Gambler just sucks it's doesn't stay lit when it does light you have less than a minute before your relighting and it taste like hay.but cost is cheap.
Thank you again. I like how you add that these are just your thoughts and how you’re working on things! It helps your viewers take these ‘rants’ haha, and work on them in our own lives. God Bless
But... You gotta pay 3.00 or more for 115 rolling papers.😠 Anyone know an online seller with cheaper papers please??✌️😁
I smoke when I cannot drive 150 miles to get better tobacco, I just add whiskey for flavor, much better.
OHM and Farmer’s Gold are much better quality and the same price $6-8 per 6oz
Man it's made too satisfy the cigarette smoker by getting around the state tabacco taxes for cheaper I roll my own cigarettes been smoking since 12 o swear by the red bag it last me a month I get classic red king tubes and you got a good knockoff cowboy killer
i paid 6 bucks for the full flavor version of that stuff. Good times
Yeah this is definitely not pipe tobacco. Its cigarette tobacco labeled as "pipe tobacco" to avoid the taxes. I used to roll this stuff in a zig zag and smoke it.
They don't even sale tobacco anymore at Walmart, at least over here in ohio.
Jason, Sometimes it’s difficult to admit and there’s truth to the idea. Through observation one can tell what another values by where and how they expend their resources. I like the introspection of all your videos. We are all on a journey.
I like getting whole leaf tobacco, buy a few varieties mix them together.
It is dry like something you would use on potted plants. Their should be a law against this, like tax avoidence.
Gambler Red taste like cigarettes with a touch anise or something. I always say anus when anise is used improperly.
Hey let that tobacco sit over the summer for a few months store it and leave it slightly open for a little air to be exposed to it should taste so much better ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lol no way I’ve only smoked the gambler ever for two years now. Should I be trying other things?
Health is overrated. It might help with quality of life, but not with the quantity of life. A lot will disagree with me, but health will not help being hit by a bus. But enjoying a good (or bad) smoke with a pipe is awesome. I used to be obsessed with health and missed out on a lot of things others enjoyed. Besides, worrying about health gave me high blood pressure. First channel I am speaking my mind like this, will make a point of watching a least daily, 👍👍👍
Interesting video but no pipe or any tobacco will make you fat and lazy it is absolute nonsense therefore the video title needs to be changed
Damn it... I just ride through TN. Went to Maryville.
Super interesting video
Finally a video of someone smoking rolling ciggarette "pipe" tobacco. I tried looking up kentucky select pipe tobacco reviews. And it's only people rolling cigs
Hilarious. Feed store smell. 🤮
Came for the laughs, stayed for the wisdom!
I came to see you smoke horrible cigarette tobacco from a pipe, I stayed for the message about mediocrity.
I started roasting my own coffee because I couldn’t find any coffees on the market that were up to my standards. If this makes me a snob, so be it. Bad coffee isn’t worth drinking.
Love the content man! Thoroughly enjoying your channel!
I am that one person who’s only tried the gambler pipe tobacco and I HATE IT! I thought i just didn’t like pipes and this week I ordered my first different kind. Plz does anyone have any recommendations?? It’s overwhelming
Try mac baren pipe tobaccos
A good last resort to have around if you run out but definitely smoke it slow and use a regular lighter you have to smoke it very slow or else the nasty harshness ensues .
aaaarrrggghhhh! regardless of what it really is for, let me make your next pipe bowl one of the best for ages. Here in Australia, we pay around $15 AUD per bowl for pipe tobacco, which is why my shirt says, "brew your own, grow your own, leave me alone" lol
Oh my God that is incredible! I thought it was bad when cigarettes hit $10 a pack in New York 15 years ago!
You could say buying this tobacco was a... Gamble?
I like the way you always say "tobacco pipe" as if you more frequently smoke something else.
But seriously, I'm getting a late start but am always trying some kind of "life hacking" to make myself better. I find lots of inspiration on UA-cam.
As for our society being fat, stupid and lazy, I think it's all about education. We no longer invest enough in quality public education.
All I want is Mutter
I want to tell you about a better life in Christ….
The venue where you are sort of looks like a tobacco drying shed.
it looks and sounds like Cigarette Tobacco
The dry stuff is for cigarettes it says "pipe tobacco" to avoid the taxes
Very well done, powerful message. Definitely has me thinking,
Your sister-in-law loves you man she wants you to quit😂
You’re talking about life like there was weed in that pipe
Wonder what he’s doing in Prison now…
@Jason Calhoun Hey bro can you smoke chewing tabacco? Please i know your not suppossd to but please
I would not do that my friend
I bought gambler silver before, didn't like it. I ended up buying chocolate extract and blending it in with the tobacco. Taste so much better now.
Another great video
It is a cigarette in a pipe. If it was free I would say no.
I thought you said cheap was where it's at (?)
Not pipe tobacco
.it doesn't burn right
I use to buy bags of gambler and roll them with papers when i was too poor for ciggies... could not imagine putting that in my pipe
Yeah that’s the way to smoke it. I like cheap pipe tobacco but gambler is not really pipe tobacco just labeled pipe tobacco. Something like gas station sail tobacco is good enough for me though the tins are just too expensive
cheap tobacco taste cheap and water is wet
I like this, please make more weird philosophical videos.
You always seem to bring up excellent points. I know I need to start looking inward. Sorry the tobacco was so nasty
Yeah I tried largo and it was trash
Lord Jesus Christ son of GOD the Father have mercy on me a sinner. Concentrate on the life after instead of this world including your crappy tobacco. You will discover peace by concentrating on the Lord.
You've Got A Great Voice Man,Do You Work For A Radio Station Or Something?
If Not You're Missing Your Calling LOL
that desprate tobbacco
Try clipper lighter
Gambler is labeled as pipe tobacco to get around taxes, it’s for roll your own cigarettes. LoL….I have a bag or Red that I use to blend with but smoking it alone tastes like smoking tumbleweeds
I enjoyed the video, thanks I'v remembered a funny feeling of smoking that, I have difficulty talking and, I liked hearing you.
