    Every video review i see on these, the comments are full of people complaining about the looks. I think it looks great. And the engine is a gem.

      I feel the same. Improvements were made. Tank isn't a hunchback anymore, nacelle is lower on the forks like it should have been, the cyclops is gone, never liked that, and the two-piece seat and subframe looks more well thought out. Std cruise prevents me from having to pony up for SP model. Hoping the 2025 XSR900 gets these updates (switchgear, TFT, etc).

    I’m picking up mine Tuesday and all they had is blue. So that’s what I’m getting. Damn it looks nice! Can’t wait for mine. Just sent my FZ09’s ecu like 6 months ago😊. Trading her in. This video now got me extra hyped.

    Gen 4 looks like a mink r1 face with the styling im going to give a light tint to the middle light. After that itll be just what ive wanted. I always wondered why they couldnt do an r1 styled front i guess they finally figured something out that has that style. Yamaha did great

    Will flashing the ecu help diminish the buzz in the bars above 5k rpms? I'm currently looking to buy a new bike and have the MT-09 and MT-10 at the top of the list. I've never ridden an mt-09 but have ridden the 10 in the past and found it to be very smooth compared to other bikes I've owned.

    • @vcyclenut
      @vcyclenut  Місяць тому +1

      Yes my flash will reduce the buzz. I’ll have the stock bike flash results soon and I’ll make sure to check and comment on that.

  • @exothermal.sprocket
    @exothermal.sprocket Місяць тому +1

    Can buzzy engine vibes be tuned out / cleaned up to some extent with the aftermarket fixings? Not a fan of numb or tingling hands or feet after a longer higher speed ride.
    I had a 2011 FZ1 back in the day which significantly lost vibration after a full exhaust and ECU flash.

    • @vcyclenut
      @vcyclenut  Місяць тому

      Yes. My flash substantially improves the vibrations.
      When motors are on the lean side they are buzzy and harsh feeling
      By cleaning up the fueling it smooths it out.
      Another reason I do so much street tuning when creating my flashes.

    • @exothermal.sprocket
      @exothermal.sprocket Місяць тому

      @@vcyclenut Excellent!
      I figured vibrations can be from one of two things: mechanical, or chemical (combustion). I can't feature Yamaha sitting there saying, well, we designed the crankshaft, pistons, rings, balance shafts pretty well, but they sure do vibrate, but pooey! it's good enough! sell it!

    How's the steering lock? My two biggest complaints about my gen 2 XSR900 continue to be the turn lock and that bullshit jog wheel, glad to see Yamaha has seen the light on the latter.

      I've read in a few places there is an extra 4 degrees each side. "Combined with the new fuel tank design, which sits 30mm lower than the previous model, riding position is more dedicated, and handlebar steering angle is 4 degrees greater on each side for a tighter turning radius and improved low-speed manoeuvrability."

    I swear, if you hear one review, you heard them all… You guys sound like a broken record with not enough weight over the front end… That is nonsense. The 23 rails turns like a magic carpet. I think everybody’s crazy saying this over and over about the MT. I’d hate to see you guys try and ride a multi strata or even a super Moto for that fact!!! But I’m glad you now have some weight over the bars lol

      I have a Hypermotard and very much enjoy riding it hard. It’s doesn’t have the same numb front end feeling I felt like on the 21-23.
      I’m happy that you enjoy your 22. I won’t discount how you feel about it. I just don’t feel the same way.
