I wish they came with hard back seats. For those of us who have kids or grandkids in car seats, the hard back on the front seats make it easier to clean the seat backs when kids in car seats are able to put their dirty shoes all over the seat. With the side airbags, it prevents adding seat covers.
I got to play Santy Claus this year for family. Looking at the pile of gifts that needed to be transported, I didn't think it could possibly fit in the back of my 2011 Edge. But, with careful piling and some adjusting, I got everything in. My biggest beef is that the Edge is so blind in the rear that backing up, particularly into a spot between other cars, is an act of faith even with the backup sensors.
Thanks 😊 wonderful review. Your video convinced me that I’m making them right decision in a few days to purchase. I can due without the sunroof, it’s fine for all it offers.
Haha I think it's the way the audio has been processed (my guess is through some sort of compressor) so sounds are much louder than they really are. I notice that in all of Dave's videos.
I think I'm going to get this one but in the sport model. Been looking to buy a compact SUV for a while. I like ford. I already own a 2011 ford fusion SE and I haven't had a problem with it ever since.
Some cars will move the driver's seat back when it's turned off, at least that's the case with my Ford Edge. Do you account for this when reviewing the rear seat? Haven't noticed you talked about it here
That's plenty, how much do you need? Hyundai's warranty isn't as extensive as they would lead you to believe. It covers items that normally last over 100K.
C Williams how much do you need? Lol The top basic warranties are offered by Hyundai, Kia and Mitsubishi. Each brand boasts a 5-year/60,000-mile *bumper-to-bumper warranty.* A 3 year 36,000 mile warranty seems a bit outdated. Like by about 40 years or so.

It is available with push button start I don't believe this is a 2014 as I have one and they may have it as an option . Also mine is a limited with the V6
You can get key less entry on the Limited, and the Sport. They key pad, is for locking your vehicle and still having the ability to access it without a key. Subaru for 2015, has made it available on the top of the line Outback. You can go to the beach, park and lock everything inside and not have to worry about a key.
C Williams I have the keypad on one of my vehicles, it's great. Would be better if I could take the keys with me and have the fob too is all I'm saying.
bad8018. its actually a timeless feature that will never go out of style you dont know how many times ive left my keys in the house or somewhere far from the car and i can just open it with the key code and its just super convenient. . you must try it
Gotta say I thought Ford would do a little better with this vehicle, for instance it has a conventional key?! It looks cheap in the materials inside and the rear door opening you mention is very poor. This is supposed to be the vehicle that replaces the Ford Territory in the New Zealand and Australian market, I think it'll be a backward step and given this is a clean sheet design it's pretty average from Ford.
As a car lover, I appreciate the door not opening to 90 degrees. Less possible door dings for me!
As a dude dealing with infant car seats, a wider opening door is worth the dings!

I have a 2013 Ford Edge. I am very happy with it, I think it's a great car and I really like it.
Do you use regular unleaded?

Indeed. Ive heard that some folks had issues with the 2010 year model vs the those that roll off the assembly line in 2011.

great review as always. would love to see a review of the sport trim.
I want this car so badly...
This is not a REVIEW, just a WALKAROUND.
3 year - 36,000 mile warranty? Might as well not even come with a warranty.
Agreed. That's a pretty weak warranty for the year 2014.

Is this where people get the idea it's an appropriate thing to cold start a vehicle and put the throttle to the wood?

I hate that Ford chime when you start the car. Does anyone agree?
I agree, sounds like a Nintendo game or something like that. Lol
I like it. First heard it on a rental Flex last year at Disney. We came up with a number of phrases to go along with it. Fun.
Good point. If I had to listen to it every day, it would probably get old. We only had to listen to it for a week.
It's just now starting to get on my nerves.
Put your seat belt on before you start the car, and you won't hear it.
This vehicle should have been a little bit bigger
I think they have the Explorer for that.
Do the all new 2015 AUDI Q7
great job!
no push start bottom? Big Desapoinmnetm :/

I think you should do longer reviews IMO. There's so much you could go over.
This review seems a bit rushed compared to others on Everyman Driver. No discussion on how it drives or instrumentation.
Nice review, could have been more extensive though.
Arash Shahkar I hope it was a good start. Are you shopping for one? Dave
Everyman Driver Car Reviews Probably the 2015 version, not sure yet.
I heard they have transmission problems.
Funny, I haven't heard any of that.
Not the 14
I can believe Ford is still using the key pad on the door. That key pad is so last century!
Yeah a keyless keyfob entry is due at this point.

Grab handles, Dave. They're called grab handles.

Oh dear God, if you want a push button start, buy a Limited, or a Sport. And what's the big deal about a key.
No tachometer wow that’s depressing
It does come with tach in the screen to the left of the speedometer
They say i like it, nothing wrong with it., what noise? They say everything to sell
This man is SO ABRUPT in all his actions!!😭😅
This was more than 8 years ago… LOL
@@everymandriver I KNOW! I’m looking into this vehicle. So this video was useful!😇
@@vermilliontoaster3063 I'm confused about "SO ABRUPT" comment? What did that mean?
@@vermilliontoaster3063 did you end up buying one
@@BlackMambaMMA almost did! But inflation made the prices not worth it, unfortunately…
Skinny front seats. Bulbous doors and seats like a Taurus.
That car SUXS my father had the same car as this AND HE JUST CLICK THE BUTTON AND THE CAR AUTO ON
WOW, AUTO ON SUXS!!!
The Ford Edge has 285 hp, but it has terrible acceleration
Yeah its the transmission plus the peak hp and torque dont come on til about 5,000 rpm
It actually picks up pretty good
