+Mygaffer really? does anyone remember carl malone? dr. J ??? no.... everyone remebers magic and larry bird, thats what matters, aint no second place in life, you either make it or u dont. wtf...
Aaron Lake no they dont, we dont stop watching the nba season once game number 82 ends...we watch it till game 4 or 6 respectively is won for the trophy..thats when we remember jordans, birds and so on and so forth...not steve nash and vince carter.
Go Nashy! Yes that really is Steve Nash in his college years while at Santa Clara University. My friends and I used to play pickup b-ball games with guys from SCU. We wondered who the quick, fast, white boy who could shoot was! Little did we know he'd become an All Star MVP NBA point guard! Good NBA commercial. Don't know how they did it.
My sister's boyfriend told me he seen the making of these NBA future commercials. He told me the players are fake too. They put Durant's head on top of another high school players body, same with Steve Nash and the others. But when it really comes down to it, I don't care because I understand the message these NBA commercials are trying to send to young aspiring basketball players trying to make it into the NBA.
Where do they get these crystal clear footage from? The Amare practicing in a empty gym, Durant tying his shoes in a locker room, and Nash just playing around in BC? Why would ANYONE be recording any of that and how would the NBA get the footage? This is really interesting. I'm looking forward to more of these.
@TraumaER Black guy is an actor he stands in front of green screen and acts, then editors took old tape with steve nash mixed with actor in front of green screen and here we go.
Santa Clara University isn't located in Victoria, British Columbia. Unless this comercial is implying that Nash in his home town who happens to be wearing Santa Clara gear.
@gmszach33 Obviously but where do they get the great footage from an empty gym? Think about it. If you were shooting around in a gym alone (like the Amare commercial) would someone have footage of it? No.
It's just cos he says "in ten years time you'll visit my school and change my life" I was trying to think who woulda been that kids age in 2006 and then make it to the NBA. My guess would be John wall
@Jsalcedo23 #1.The kid is suppose to be from the future, and #2. That is Steve Nash, but its an old video of him in his college ball days. SOooo NBA did this cool thing called "green screen" and edited the boy in there as a person of the future... Got It??
Everybody, this footage is not real. They edited the video to put this guy there, these video's are ameteur tapes of NBA stars in the past, just plain video's.But they edit them to put a guy there, giving them speeches about the future :p
@kAr0lis9 thanks for explanation; you are the only 1 after over a dozen attempts to give me the answer; everyone else was giving me stupid answers like they hopped on the DeLorean and went back to the future or some shit
@TraumaER Oh okay, so with that analogy you're telling me you're not old enough to understand how special effects work. Maybe when you turn 10 you'll understand. I'm even amazed you were able to login today.
man that gave me chills, "they're gonna love that shot in Phoenix"
Thought that same thing dude!!
we're gonna love that shot in Pheonix....*goosebumps*
He didnt do shit his whole nba career, what goosebumps ?
You're a 2010 baby, aren't ya?
+Mygaffer really? does anyone remember carl malone? dr. J ??? no.... everyone remebers magic and larry bird, thats what matters, aint no second place in life, you either make it or u dont. wtf...
+818 SPL Actually yes, everyone remembers Karl Malone and Dr J.

@gmszach33 Obviously but where do they get the great footage from an empty gym? Think about it. If you were shooting around in a gym alone (like the Amare commercial) would someone have footage of it? No.
@ultimatederon I heard it was recruiting tapes that they sent to the NBA or to teams.
This kid was a time traveler he spoke to extinct
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!! This is some creepy stuff!
Yo, how do they get this footage?
@dukebryant it's a shame in elementary school when you asked what 2+2 is, the teacher didn't tell you 'apple'
@nigerian5 He says "WE'RE gonna love that shot in Phoenix"
Are there any more commercials like this? Where can I see the original footage also?
and also the last one

@nigerian5 i think he says "we're" gonna love that shot in Phoenix.
"... help turn my life around."
how the hell did they get footage!!!
how do they do these commercials???
Serious question: How are these commercials made? Can someone tell me if it is CGI or a person that looks similar to the player or something else?
It's just cos he says "in ten years time you'll visit my school and change my life" I was trying to think who woulda been that kids age in 2006 and then make it to the NBA. My guess would be John wall

Is it bad that I thought this was real for like a month?
@TraumaER Oh okay, so with that analogy you're telling me you're not old enough to understand how special effects work. Maybe when you turn 10 you'll understand. I'm even amazed you were able to login today.
