The comparisons aren't really fair here: all three of them rely on CellSpread. Meaning that the closer you are to the centre of the explosion, the more damage you get. For buildings CellSpread means more damage for every cell of their foundation affected by the explosion (CellSpread is also the reason why Kirov bombs are better at taking out larger buildings but hideously bad against turrets (and Patriots)). Add that one Terrorist dying means the others around him get hit instantly after. I wonder if there's some way to delay it like the delayed destruction of barrels... Lastly, 11:49. No computer can handle that :P
What is really cool it putting demo truck in a hover transport after Crazy Ivan has put a bomb on everyone of them. The use the Iron Curtain on the transport, and it into the enemy base and unload the transport. The Demo trucks blow up instantly, and transport keeps dropping them XD
Slowjam Sliver I would do the same thing putting crazy Ivan bombs on five terrorists and loading them into a flack track. If you can get it close enough to a construction yard, it will completely destroy it whether you deploy the flack track or it gets destroyed.
I remember when I use crazy Ivan to destroy enemy attack reinforcement in some mission so I place the crazy Ivans carefuly so they don't got run over by tanks but the tanks does not attack my unit only when you attack them first not put bomb on them, that is very weird it only happen in soviet mission 2 the one when you get to control Tanya
In my opinion terrorists and Ivan are too weak. Ivans bombs should have a slightly longer timer and kill, when attached to a building, a building with one hit, similar to Seals/Tanyas C4. It still has a long timer, having a huge disadvantage over C4 and allowing the enemy to remove the bombs with engineers. Ivans bombs also need to be more effective against units. Terrorists should be immune against friendly terrorists explosions.
So it would seem Terrorist = Cheaper and deals its damage immediately Ivan = expensive and requires far more micro but deals higher damage and doesn't suicide.
I think you should test out the Prism Tank. There's some weird things I've heard about it and I've noticed weird things about it myself. The beams that shoot off at the impact location will clearly snap to targets that are close enough, but it seems to also be a random chance if it does actually or not. Supposedly these will also bounce to other targets if there are targets nearby, and the range at which it can bounce to these targets or snap to the first target is apparently based on how far away the Prism Tank was when it shoots. I'm not sure how to set up a good testing scenario to test any of these, though.
I have been playing this game since it was released and I never thought on using the Chronosphere nor the Iron Curtain on the Demolition Trucks. I feel so stupid -_-
5:435:57 The first one dealt more damage, was that because he was closer to the middle of the structure? Meaning more squares of damage? Also I hate that your opponent kills one terrorist and it wipes them all out

Oh man, I remember strapping dynamites on dogs and packing them all into a flak track to create a makeshift demolition truck. This game was insane I love it. :D
11:31, (Nods head in excitement) The Terrorist looks more useful since they give you more bang for you buck, but then you showed the famous Iron Curtain/Demolition Truck combo that ensures the trucks will reach their target. Also funny to see that the Iron Curtain and Chronosphere cause the units to blow up.
Why was the demolition truck not able to destroy the war factory when aiming at it, but then destroyed it when trying to kill the lab which was far away from it...?
A funny story I was playing vanilla Ra2 as a kid. Skirmish map as a Libya. I was overwhelmed so I had to sent these trucks I had been making to hopefully get rid of the attack. All I knew was that they were a suicide unit. After that I knew theyre payload was nukes 😅
Amazing how stable red alert is. A lot of games crush when a lot of explosion happen instantly. Btw is the iron curtain and demo truck strat banned in tournaments? Don't see Bryan Vahey or other serious players use it?
Demolition trucks all over an enemy base with Iron Curtain is far more deadly than Apocalypses with Iron Curtain. Or quite possibly, Prism Tanks with Chronosphere
Crazy Ivans are really fun units. I remember puting bombs on dogs and sending them towards tanks in one mission. Terrorists in IFV-s are cost effective, fast demo trucks.
Hi tg, Would you mind ANYTIME doing something like a magnetron tutorial/explanation combined with something like a scientific approach? I strongly believe many of us, poor spectators, don't completely understand the difference between auto-mag and related stuff to said vehicle. We hear/read things like: Oh! Magnetrons!! They are so fking OP...etc. We saw in many battles how mags can land different kind of armoured vehicles atop of others, killing the first (and sometimes) even the second one in the process. It's well-known to many that mags are really powerful when they are stationed in cliffs. Would you do it please? I can't understand how PRO players mag the crap out of their enemies and do hilarious stuff with mags, whereas other less-skilled players barely make any use of it. Thanks in advance and for reading my suggestion. P.S. It would be nice to experiment how much each kind of tank does to a building.
