I've had some comments on this video raising concerns regarding this week's sponsor that I was unaware of prior to making this video public. Having been a customer of them previously, and experiencing no problems, had deemed them suitable for a sponsorship. So if you're considering purchasing from them please do research them and make an educated decision when purchasing. I will endeavour to do the same with future sponsorships.
G2a is totally fine. Used them for years, never had any issue. It's good you put those crybaby comments into perspective. This community becomes more and more ignorant when it comes to sponsorship of "their" channels. I bet they would even criticize sponsorships from Greenpeace; Bread for the World; Cancer Research UK; Red Cross and others due to nonsense reasons.
I appreciate the transparency, and it's an understandable mistake to make. For anyone intending to use the website, just know that g2a is an organization that devs are on record as saying that they would rather you pirate their games than buy them from G2A, since the keys on G2A are often obtained through illicit or immoral means, like using stolen credit cards or buying in bulk in regions with better pricing because the people there are on average much poorer. I recommend the Jimquisition video(s) on G2A from a few years back for a better picture.
@@StarPupil1 yeah, this comment should be pinned. A sponsor is a sponsor, and theres some games that you might not care about the devs (especialy massive ones), but its worth putting out there regardless
I know it's ultimately immaterial, but I love the diversity you can get with the Guard. The fact that they can encompass so many different cultural backgrounds and being able to represent that on the tabletop is just neat. That and these different Guard regiments aren't all just copy-paste of Cadians. They're all different in origin, background, and character, which honestly adds so much to the mileage you can get out of them. Thank you so much for the conversion guides, Pete. They truly do provide a great deal of inspiration.
I fell in love with the Tallarn after playing "Final Liberation" with the Tallarn tank commander offering a wonderful thick slice of ham with his acting in his cut-scene. Back then, I feel that the Tallarn were more based on the Afrika Korps. This is a great conversion. I find it impressive how much difference chancing the uniform colours achieves.
I simply cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. Whilst your third party tallarn conversion looked amazing, I do not have a 3d printer or the money to order the third party torsos used in it over and over. You've no idea the excitement I felt the moment I saw this in my recommended.
Chem-dogs were suggested above, the last chancers are dated models, but sinilarly dated concepts. Granted, if anyone could update the models, it'd be Pete.
I'd love to see a kitbash of the Mordians, or the Generian 99th Infantry from the All Guardsmen Party. The Mordians would be interesting to see from the Cadian Boxset, while the Generian 99th would be cool to see since they'd be all unique. Either way, great video!
The new Guardsman armour is closer to what carapace armour was in the older pewter models. I compared one of my metal Cadians to the new ones and the new models are a lot bulkier in general. All the Tallarn models you'll see are from the late 90s in metal and have no plates unless they're officers
Genuinely one of the coolest kitbash/conversions I have seen in a while. Mainly because it's so straight forward with such good results. This looks like what a Tallarn should look like if they got a new model kit and feels like something you could make a full army of without a huge effort (and enough money of course). I second the desire to see a Mordian kitbash of the new kits. The chest feels like it would be the hardest to easily replicate across a whole army but, otherwise, the kit feels like it easily work with some 4rd party heads and shoulder tassels. I'd also like to see Chem Dogs. Feels like the Death Korps models are built for it.
Love this conversion, so simple yet so effective. My one nit pick with this is your use of colour, specifically such a light white for all the highlights. I appreciate that it helps tie the model together a little but it really desaturated the green trousers, maybe a bone colour or something closer to yellow would have helped with that.
I remember kitbashing some old Khemri stuff in my Tallarn version of IG a looong time ago. It was cool. You single handedly are going to make me go back to the hobby man
Woo!!! More guard conversions!!! Honestly awesome. There are so many regiments to tackle, endless paths to take! Hope to see more of these quality videos from you ❤
Ohhh now I'm even more torn up about whether I'm doing an armoured company of Valhallans or Tallarn, though the Tallarn seem to be a load of emperor botherers this is such a fun conversion!

Great work, as usual! Can you try Harakoni Warhawks next time? You can use new Kasrkin models for carapace armour, Astra militarum vehicle accesories for las-carabine and some Space marine stuff for making gravishute.
Been doing a warhawks army for a while (Was aiming to match a picutre by GreySkull on Diviant Art so went Anvil Industires Armoured parts route as they matched best, have the whole range of equipment for an army and not horrendous costwise) the new Kasrkin have made the process a lot simpler the real challenge now is the heads and grav chutes, Anvil Regiments jump packs will probably be best with Kasrkin as they are the chunkiest and match the bulkier models best, head wise, you can get good matches on Shapeways and Madrobot mini's, but Liber Demonicas heads will probably match the Kasrkin models best
@@maddlarkin Nice, man! Can you drop a link to some of your pictures? Really`d like to see your take on Warhawks, they do not get that much attention. IMHO, Mad robot has the best depiction of Harakon regimets, although their proportions do not match curret GW models.
