I love these old 7 series. I feel the thin width and short 110” wheelbase helps it not feel like a big car. That being said the North American e23 has 197.4” of length so the foot print of this car isn’t small. Surprised the e39 is 188” and the U.S. e60 comes in at 190.7” in length.
Wow, I'm surprised. It took them a while to catch up in sizing. The car didn't feel small, but it didn't feel large either. Much more of a glass house than modern cars. It's a hard feeling to describe, but I really enjoyed it.
Features, 3 out of 10???!!! You can’t compare a 43 year old car to a modern car. This car’s climate control system alone was worth the price of admission. There was nothing as impressive as this on any other car at the time. Give me a break. Very disappointing and uninformed review.
I will concede it was good for it’s day. But score every car on the same scale. If you want to enlighten me as to what it has that I didn't mention, I will consider upping the score! Sometimes, I get it wrong.
@@M-t3chI think 3/10 is actually a good score for a 40+ year old cars! I have an 82 733i, my one has an onboard computer and I believe the e23 was the first car to feature that!
@spidersrdeadly I think I read that somewhere too. Really cool car imo. You got a good price on yours! When I have a larger stable, I'd love to have a manual one as a weekend cruiser. It was a lot of fun.
I have a 1979 733i four speed that I'm restoring. These are fun cars and it's one that's often overlooked. One of my favorite drivers I've ever owned.
It was a lot of fun. I really want one honestly 😄. Goodluck on the restoration!
Just got a 82’ and can’t wait to get it started. Looks like a great car!
They are fun foe what they are! Pretty rare too. The gentleman's e28.

I miss our old 1982 735i auto, we had as a family car. I crashed it in 1993 when I was still a dumbass 20 yo
@universalcitizen7544 That is the way it goes unfortunately lol.

It is in great shape!

Also note: I bought mine about 18 months ago for 3,000AUD (2,000USD)!
