E39 V8 6-speed, one of the best all-around cars ever made. Comparing the E36 M3/4/5 to the E39 540i M-Sport 6-speed (I own both, stock setups, with nearly identical 111k miles on each) - the M-Sport has the M5 suspension but with the standard 540i motor, open diff, and taller gearing - I prefer the M3 for lower speed/tighter turns/aggressive driving where the E39 can feel a bit big/reluctant. But at higher speeds with long curves, the E39 is amazing. It eats up the miles on the highway in quiet comfort while still being engaging and controlled.
E39 was definitely peak BMW. It had absolutely the perfect balance of comfort, driving involvement, looks, and technology. Such a great video :)
@@pascutia Agreed, and thank you!

Agreed, the 5 series chassis is awesome for long sweeping turns and highway miles. I think your two car solution is perfect!
A BMW V8 never disappoints does it, especially the S62 :)
