Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my current work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed.
My paint brands mostly used are the Mont marte studio acrylics, dimensions, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

I can’t imagine how exciting it would be to see cockatoo’s in the wild! I live in Ohio in the US, we do have Bald Eagles here now, but I have yet to see one! 🤣

I really liked this one. Your color choice was great. After your first swipe, the bottom half look like the ocean with northern lights on the top. Then it became this other beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing your work.

Good evening Gilly, I think this is gorgeous! Before you did the swipe on the second side of the canvas, it reminded me of The Northern Lights! The gold really makes it Spectacular! Good on ya girl! I love the comments you make about staying healthy and if people get lonely or sad & Depressed, it truly does make a difference in people’s attitude, well I think it does.
I also hope that you are taking care of yourself as well! I would really miss you if anything were to happen to you.

I love it, persanaly ill wont use the butan heater, though the differce wasnt that big difference, and the balloons always finish it really beautifull!! ❤

Absolutely beautiful! Regarding the birds... maybe they feel quite at home without people all and about. Your energy is so loving and kind... they probably ate gravitating toward it... comfortable home. Also, might we Gerry a look at you while your talking someday? Thre brain is a funny thing. Just a suggestion but I put a marble in my pouring squeeze bottles to help mix mix paint. I love your art and teaching 💕

Cool reminds me of the underwater scene. Splash of cells, lovely creative artistry. You are fun to follow on your Art journey. By the way, on the string pulling, try keeping the string flat on the canvas & pulling gently with one hand & your outcome will be more of a fan effect.. Just a suggestion for you to try. This is simply gorgeous, love the blues. I like the heat wand best, seems to make bigger cells. Almost like warming it slower allows the silicon droplets come together before popping on the top. Love the kisses you added after.

I love this painting. Both sides are terrific, but I like the side with your magic wand, the best. You get more larger cells than the side with the torch. Very nice.

Thank you for mentioning that you just put your swipe about a centimeter into the paint. I did my first swipe the other day and went all the way down to the canvas. Not a good result. Now I know what to do. The colors on this piece are beautiful.
I wasn't sure about the colors at first lol but this came out STUNNING!! I definitely must try these :)

Gilly that was a master for sure, absolutely loved the colours and finished result. The silver and gold worked so well together which surprised me. I have a butane torch but have to say I prefer the cells from the heat wand. I am definitely going to try and get one. Well done and thanks so much for your videos......stay safe!

Interesting result. I was expecting the butane torch to make the bigger cells. You mentioned that you thought the same and that maybe it was the metallics that altered it. Would be interesting to see it done without the metallics. The cells from the heat wand came out really pretty.
We get a lot of the red tail black cockatoos here in Sth Wst Western Australia as well as the Carnaby's white tail black cocatoos. I've never heard of yellow tailed ones before, so I just looked it up and no, we don't get them in Western Australia.

Heat gun cells look better to me then torch. Will order one from Amazon. Don't like balloon smash though,

Interesting that thicker metallics works best for you. Many other artists think they need to be thinner so they don't sink. I wonder if the outcome is dependent on the brand of paint. What do you think?

You can achieve similar results with adding a bit of floetrol to paint instead of silicone 🤗
