In this video, I will show you how a few basic tips on how to use coloring pages in the app, Procreate on your iPad.
Please note that the coloring pages are for personal use only as the copyright remains with Color with Kendi. Please DO NOT SELL anything you make from this tutorial unless it is completely different.

ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome to Color with Kendi! 😁
I’m Ria, but I go by the artist name Kendi. I’m a UA-camr and Procreate artist based in Canada.
My UA-cam channel, Color with Kendi, is my space to share fun and easy-to-follow Procreate art tutorials and tips for beginner artists.
How did I get here?
My educational background is in nutrition, food engineering and chemical engineering. I’ve always loved art, but struggled to make it a lasting hobby until I discovered digital art in 2020. Since then, I’ve been utterly obsessed with the app, Procreate, and you’ll find me painting and sketching daily on my iPad.
Art has brought so much joy and peace to my life and I want to share that joy with YOU. Color with Kendi is my space to do that.
What do I do?
Currently, I make art tutorials on UA-cam. My focus is on digital art made in Procreate, but since my earlier art experience was with traditional media such as watercolor and gouache, you’ll find that my digital art has more of a traditional media vibe.
I also make custom Procreate brushes that are inspired by traditional media such as watercolor, gouache, ink, pencils and more. You can find those in my brushes shop: www.colorwithkendi.com/procre...
My goal is to share content and products that can help you make art a lasting hobby that brings you joy!
How did I come up with the name Color with Kendi?
I started my digital art journey just a few months after adopting my younger cat, Kendi. He’s always around me and has been my “art buddy” since the day I started painting in Procreate. So in a sense I was always “coloring with Kendi”. That’s where the name for the channel was born and I wanted to use Kendi as my artist name to honor my cat.

My granddaughters love coloring these type of things in procreate..I never get to see my iPads when they are around because they have both of them! Lol
The clipping mask doesn’t seem to work for me. Maybe because I’m using a coloring page with a white background? I’ve tried making my coloring page layer, “darker” and “multiply” but it just colors over the whole area on the clipping mask. Any tips? Thank you.
If the coloring page does not have the line art isolated on a transparent background, then the clipping mask method won’t work. You’ll need to use the selection tool to select the white background and then remove it first. Then you’ll be able to use the clipping mask.

Idk what brush i need to use cuz the oppacity keeps changing when im coloring with my apple pencil
Does this happen with the monoline pen too? It’s a default brush in the Calligraphy section in Procreate.
