- Do you have any very slow projects? Like, embarrassingly slow projects?
I do! This hexagon quilt using Denyse Schmidt fabrics. And I'd really like to actually finish it. So maybe this video will act as a kick in the backside so I can finally do something about it?! :-)

This is beautiful! I hope you will continue to work towards the quilt. You have already come so far. Maybe you could leave the project out where you can see it every day and add a hex each day. Your fabrics are wonderful and the finished quilt will be amazing! 🌞

You're not alone! I started a quilt for my youngest Daughter when she was 7, she's 33 now and it's still not finished . 😂

It's going to be beautiful!!! Keep going. Just set a little goal to keep making progress weekly! I love all the beautiful fabrics! Yes, I have had works in progress and put up and found them later. Now, I am trying to finish them one at a time. You could even make a center piece and put a nice border around it!😊 I was just thinking and you could sew together what you have and make a beautiful wall hanging!!

I have a languishing hexie project too. A cutting machine didn't help as the slow part is the hand stitching. I very rarely cover my sewing projects on my channel as I do mainly journal related work for it, but maybe I need to do a confession video too. Your project is beautiful, I suggest a lovely quilted cushion cover, then you can move on to something new. Oh, I love your channel and I am now a subscriber, good luck with UA-cam!

I think now that I have made the video I actually will get back to working on it. In fact, I have already made a few more hexies! 😁
I have the same Hex quilt dreams but there is no way I'll finish it, hex take soooo long. I think I'm going to turn mine into a bolster pillow cover. It's the perfect project for idle moments with an audiobook or podcast, on the train or waiting for the doc, I try to keep a kit in my bag with hexies and a needle.
For the longest time I thought that I would never finish the hexie quilt but now I feel like I have got the momentum going so I think I may actually be able to do it! It also helps that now I am tracking the number of hexies I make and not just making them and throwing them in a bag without knowing how many I still need to make.😁😁
Like you say, it's the perfect project when you are on the go or listening to something. Or even watching something. 🙂
Yep, I have a UFO quilt top 30 years old so don’t worry, it will get done. Just call it “ slow stitching”. Lol 😀🇳🇿
