So about Sugar Coat: While you could enchant non-Token foods with it, the actual reason it needs to be able to Enchant Foods is because it would otherwise fall off once the creature it's enchanting stops being a creature, since it would no longer be a valid target.
Note: mockingbird says “mana spent to cast this spell”, not “X”, so you can copy Sheoldred for 4 mana.
The card you were thinking of when you were talking about Into the Flood Maw is called Fading Hope. One thing to note though is that Fading Hope could target your own creatures, which is why it was a staple in mono blue decks since it could save your Haughty Djinns and the like. Into the Flood Maw can't do that, it can only target opponents creatures, so its not immediately better than Fading Hope, though mono blue may still try it as a fading hope replacement.

It's the same as prismatic ending in that regard. This card could be cool in older formats where most creatures are pretty cheap.
Things that say “enchant creature or food” say that because of it didn’t include the ability to enchant food, the enchantment would fall off immediately after transforming the creature

Just as a bit of pedantry, the frogs aren't bouncing, they're flickering/blinking. Bouncing is generally shorthand for returning to hand, while flickering (or blinking) is exile+return.
Well, some of them are bouncing - like Dour Port-Mage.

So Mockingbird is actually better than you think: You don't need to pay an extra 1 mana to copy something. If you want your opponent's Sheoldred, that's 4 mana, since it checks the amount of mana spent to cast it, not the X value
For the dark mode on the website, there are chrome extensions that force any website into dark mode

24:45 I will say, you're missing the fact that Fading Hope (the 1 mana bounce currently in standard) can bounce your own creatures and is often played in decks with cheap creatures that use it for protection. Into the Flood Maw can't do that which is a big downside.
Dour Port Mage is pretty sweet, some kind of reward to bouncing all your own creatures, even if it's just more creature that bounce themselves...

Calamitous Tide, for that mana cost, I want to bounce the whole board, or at the very least not be required to discard after the pitiful draw 2. The only saving the card is in draft, and only if you get the Elemental that makes your first blue sorcery free on your turn, and maybe copy it.
Of course blue (and green) is getting in on the bounce synergy. What else would frogs do? Squirrels hoard food, frogs bounce, rabbits make babies. There's some good theming in this set.
I could see some jank decks with the Knightfisher happening, *if* Fisher's Talent was in the main set instead of the commander one.

season of weaving doesn’t bounce tokens, so the strategy here is to play a token centric deck. Also mode two and three go together. Make a token and then bounce everything else
I appreciate the improvements made to the showing, but I still recommend Scryfall. This is still good though.

So Pearl of Wisdom draws you 2 for 3 mana generally... But does so for 2 mana in every otter scenario
mockingbird is NOT cost +1. Read the text again, it says you copy a card equal to the mana spent, NOT the X value. So you actually spend mana equal to its value.

Kitnaping an opponent's creature without giving a gift because you expect them to be able to blow the enchant up (so they get their creature back) but at least their creature is still stunned could also be a play I expect would happen a lot
Mockingbird is weaker than what people might expect because usually you want to be able to clone for less than the creature costs (for instance paying 4 to copy atraxa even if you lose the copy to legend rule might be worth it, but paying 7 will not). It might see play if you want to copy cheap (Mana vanue 3 or less) creatures, though (I can kinda see it played copying monastery swiftspear xD)
Otterballs antics is much better than most people would think because it's basically a creature that triggers prowess on ETB (and can be copied by that other otter. Now repeat other otter 10 times)
Pearl of wisdom + izzet otter that reduces instant/sorc cost by 1 = 1 mana draw 2.
Portent is probably not that great unless you have ways to stack your top efficiently (for instance, a card that could return permanents to the top of the deck). I mean, how many times have you landed less than 4 different types with atraxa ?? and she searches top 10. You can try to maximize the effect with artifact creatures/ artifact lands (Do we still have enchant creatures after rotation??) but it's going to be expensive and hard to pull off
Sugar coat enchants food because if it didn't when the creature is turned into food, it wouldnt be a creature anymore and the enchant would be on an illegal target and "fall off" which would make the creature a creature again. So here is why it says enchant food.
Valley floodcaller is probably the most meta defining card of the set IMO. It will make convoke otters a truly frightening deck. The idea is you tap your otters to pay the spekk with convoke and then untap them tronger and you just cast a spell for free (and that spell might have been a draw spell and you could just keep going). Remember that invasion of segovia is a card that can give all your non creature spells convoke and even without it we have a couple draw and blast spells with convoke that would play great of otters paired with stormbreaker in red from this set and you have and instant "vomit my deck on your face and punch your for 10 billion" loop
Wishing well had a similar card that was actually much better, cheaper and even had a way to remove counters called "Brain in a Jar" and that card didn't see much play so I don't expect wishing well to see any play either sadly (yes the well casts from grave but it requires too much work comes in too late needs you to have instant and sorceries of diverse costs to be able to use it efficiently on each turn etc) I may be wrong on that, maybe someone will find a way to break it (probably with surveil spells/self mill) but even then it's really hard to use (plus since it's only as sorcery you can't have it sit at 2/3 with a counterspell in the graveyard as a "backup counterspell" which would have made it much better). Now, there might be a world where you play it with proliferate spells and rush towards a 6/7 mana spell that could win you the game, but idk if we have this in the meta. The only way we have right now to remove counters is render inert or glissa
