Instantly fell in love with the first Dusk Diver. Just so much style and flash. I can see how people can get bored with it but it’s perfect for short play sessions.
@Angel Guzman - I completely agree. However - At some times that short play sessions turn out to be longer than anticipated. The first game sure had it flaws (like not be able to save before a big boss battle, so when defeated you have to play the whole level all over again). However - For some reason I kept coming back to the game and enjoyed myself a far bit more than I was initially expecting. I am now replaying the first game, to dive into the second one the moment I finish it. I am glad to see the game kept the same protagonist (and Leo of course). The first game ended in a bit of a cliffhanger, and it's good to see the final effort in that game payed off. I am looking forward to play Dusk Diver 2 soon.
So you were right, I am so glad I bought both games! Had to buy the first one digital and got launch edition of the second one. I just completed the first game and it was more than I expected. Definitely didn't get all the trophies though lol, but the story was great and I actually really enjoyed Boss out of all the characters, especially when she talks smack to the fish girl. It always cracked me up. I will start the second one soon and it looks like it improved on everything and you can level up and it shows your dmg! That's a huge plus in my book. Such a fun game. I only got bored with the side quest and the gacha machines lol but I thought it was cool that they gave you the extra companion at the end. Good stuff. Thanks again for helping me make the purchase.
The costume break's a clever implementation (Mainly because of the fact that the entire portrait ends up changing at that point, whereas other games keep the same portrait even after damage)
I wanted to like this series but my gripes with how I view the first carry over to the second, I can see why people may enjoy it it has good aspects, its just the overal I wouldn't recommend it if you asked
I almost beaten the first game. But, I don't care anymore. And then went ahead and started playing the 2nd game. This series is very reparative. The enemies are too boring and level ups are broken because it feels like you're not doing anything to improve. The 2nd game has The same asset from the first game. Minor upgrade I can tell the difference.
PS4 PS5 Nintendo Switch Dusk Diver 2 Idea Factory Game it looks like an Asian Game Japan or Hong Kong China Country of East Asia and the characters in the Region of this game.
I am not sure who your reviews are aimed at but the wording is way too overcomplicated for just casual viewing, yes it would work as a thesis subject but we are talking about video games to a casual audience and this style is just not good

It’s a pretty niche game that definitely needs an audience because it is good

I couldn’t quite get through the first one, the town felt pretty bland and the combat got stale after 10 hours.
Yea the combat became repetitive quick

The title of this game sounds extremely like a performative dirty act....
