It's good to see that the game is getting traction! I hadn't heard of it before the review but there is a charm to the atmosphere and the performances from the entire voice cast was great!

This looks pretty damn interesting. EDIT No ammo management, surely they should've included an option to make that limited? A large part of the Horror of the classics is the lack of resources.
well, I bought it because I thought about it mainly as an adventure, so the combat is of little concern to me or, at best, in the way of the experience. could have done without it.
Honestly, the combat does feel like more of a chore than anything else and the combat would need to be overhauled for limited ammo to be really balanced. Mostly, enemies would need to be placed on the map BUT the atmosphere more than makes up for it.
I will definitely play this game. I'm not experienced with puzzles in games, and tend to shy away from games with complicated ones, but I am looking for horror games to play this Halloween season. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Alisa! Right now it's just on Steam though. The dev is super dedicated to retro Resident Evil Style of his game. It released last year, but you'd probably believe me if I told you it came out in the 90's. Really impressive especially for a one man team, Casper Croes is positively reactive to his fanbase and releases hot fixes to tweek his game extremely fast. It does have some puzzles, but they're really not too difficult especially if you pay attention to the not hard to find few notes that are scattered throughout the area. It's one of my favorite survival horror games ever! Other than that there is: 🎃 The Evil Within 1 and 2 🎃 Resident Evil 1-4 and 7-8. (RE8 is coming out with story related DLC late October, RE 1 remake is my favorite out of all of them) 🎃 Visage 🎃 Signalis releases at the end of October 🎃 Calisto Protocol releases in December

I would add on In Sound Mind alongside the other recommendations you already have if you haven't played it already. We even reviewed it if you wanna see what I thought of it before you buy.
@@AstralFrost I'm glad I could help! I wish more people knew about this gem of a game, it has the charm of a classic PlayStation horror game to a T, and people are a sucker for nostalgia too! Maybe the game just wasn't advertised too well, I mean a lot of Indie games aren't as well known as a consequence of their very nature......... Now is a good time to play though. He just released his "Developers Cut" version of the game which added a lot of cool stuff, including multiple endings. He has intent to make this game into a universe that spans multiple games, as the game alludes to a bigger plot that has prequel/sequel potential. Although considering he just released the final version of this game, it'll probably be a few years before/if that happens. Either way I like the game even standalone, and am willing to wait.
