Hi Stu I’m the 82 year old grandma that was trying to swing in to out lifting the the handle and hitting before the ball into the ground 🙈🙈🙈
I played yesterday and used this method by practicing it upright and then bending to hit the ball, Wow it’s a different swing, first thing I noticed was I can stay down through the ball, the second thing was how it stabilised the club face through impact.
Thanks again for making the golf swing through impact understandable for the first time.
I know I will have to keep practicing this move before it becomes second nature, but at least I now know what I am trying to achieve. 🙏👏👏👏
    Blown me away 👍

Another wonderful golfing education, Stuart. I, too, was one of those people who really didn’t understand the handle pressure until I saw your two part broom videos. The drill you just demonstrated clearly shows us how pressure in the handle works with a golf club in hand. The thing that resonated with me was when you said the handle stays under the shoulders at impact. That thought alone is a game changer. Now I know why I, sometimes, heel strike or shank the ball, when trying to swing from the inside. The club handle is not under my shoulders at impact, but is up and away, which causes the club face to drop and open, thus a heel strike at best or a shank at worst. Thanks for another eye opening education on the golf swing. Cheers.

Had my 3rd lesson yesterday and worked on similar principles to what Stuart shows and now its starting to click. Top coach. I travel nearly 2 hours to his studio but it’s definitely worth it 👍🏻

Hey Stu Rod Lewis again I love your content I love the depth of your instruction and explanations and I was surprised to watch this video strike the golf ball that never before where you used the golf shaft and the tea because I've seen one of the other videos where you had done something similar so I went outside and worked on that for a while but the problem was what you explained in this video that I kept hitting underneath the ball I would hit the shaft that it was sitting on or the tea but I could not hit the ball and I was wondering why and now it's so obvious after your explanation thank you so much stew for what you're doing for us golfers

Thank you Stuart! So this is essentially allowing the rotated forearms (in the backswing) to rotate back into the original position and into impact? Also, I noticed this allows the wrists to come back to the original position at setup rather than a raise that happens when coming from the inside is done the wrong way of nastiness (as per your quote 😂😂).

One thing that confuses me slightly Stuart is drilling the handle outwards from the top with a golf club. Because I see you show that move at varying degrees. When I take it to an extreme like the theraband drill, but with a club in my hand it become very difficult to then do the second part of pressuring down to get the face on the ball. In isolation I get it, no problem there, but when adding in the second bit after that all in one movement what positions do you like to see with doing it with a club? Aiming for hands halfway between feet and ball at 9'clock shaft? Because that's what happens I feel when doing the broom drill correctly, that's the general positions that seem to get hit. I hope it is clear what I'm asking, lol.

All the pressure on the handle makes sense up until shaft parallel but once you get to shaft parallel don’t you need to let your wrists uncock? I feel like putting pressure down through impact stops my wrists from uncocking and thefore the club from swinging so I then I lose speed?

Have had the fortune to have a few lessons with Stuart over the last few months - and the fundamentals here really work in practice
    - Grip - the “hold”
    - the pivot and using pressure through the feet to drive the hip turn - yes have used “the broom” and “Swiss ball”
    - and crucially the downward pressure as shown in this video to give much greater control over the club face.
Of course have had the bad days when it gets worse before it gets better …but it is worth it guys - ball striking the best it’s been. WHS down to 8 - and shot -1 on the back 9 last week.
    Keep up the content Stu

Pressure the shaft , are you doing it with push down on the heel pad of the left hand and lifting up on the right index of the right hand ? Are you feeling this at address and maintain it all the way through the ball ? What I'm seeing is the Right shoulder on the downswing stays moving and doesn't stop . If the right shoulder slows or stops , the lower body stops and all bets are off on what your going to get without manipulation . Just looking for more clarity on how to do this pressuring the shaft. Also is there any truth to making sure the right shoulder keeps moving . I can see with most all good shot with pro's this right shoulder is moving pretty fast never stopping. When bad shots happen it can be most related to the right shoulder stopping or slowing down.
