1994 was the first year of the 916. This round was early in the season and only Foggy had one as a works WSBK rider. Witham also had one by May for the Donington World round, but broke his wrist in practice. The others on Dukes were still on the previous 888
A lot of the riders still campaigning 888s, both in BSB and WSB, used the 955cc engine. I did have records of who was using them and when but not easy to access with the current version of Access. I can be seen taking photos at the Esses durring the 250 race
Michael Rutter, sad loss & BSB riders should be banned from the TT. It's a killer. That other BSB well popular rider Karl Harris died at a TT too. Why do it. Should be banned for me.
Brilliant. Proper super bike.
Eh?!? Rutter isn’t fucking dead!!! He’s old but he’s not a box yet!
I thought 💭 those Ducati’s in 1994 were 916’s? After the 888, never heard 955 Ducati
they are essentially 916's - full name was Ducati 916SPa Corsa 955
Was just about to say the same thing . As alot of ppl used to put 955 kits in 916s and the monster s4 with the 916 engines .

The 916 went to 955ccm, then 998ccm.
