  • Today we're at Yanaka Antique Market which is held at Enmeiin Temple, a short walk from the West Exit of Nippori Station. This market is held sporadically, so do check their website for any updates on when the next one is scheduled for (scroll down for website link).
    Held over both days on a weekend, there are around 40 different stalls each day. So you could check it out on Saturday, then go again on Sunday and find something different.
    Loved the atmosphere of this market! It’s a super chilled laid back one✨✨✨
    Estimated prices are noted in USD($) (exchange rate in 2024) to help convert into your own currency.
    Thank you so much for watching and hope you enjoy the content🥰

    Very nice selection of offerings at the market. I always visit the Tomioka Hachimangu market during my January/February Tokyo trips. I will have to check the Yanaka market on my next visit. Great commentaary.

    I went to this market once and i agree about the cozy vibe. I bought a kendama shaped kokeshi from the vintage suitcase you filmed and various others from the 300 yen box. I almost bought a handbag shaped like a rubber chicken simply because it was so bizarre! I love that area of town, especially the antique/junk shop on the main Yanaka Ginza shopping street. Thanks for the video. I’m still learning about all the traditional items, so your captions and explanations are very helpful.

    if I were visiting Japan how could I find antique markets like this to go to?

    • @tokyotique
      @tokyotique  7 днів тому

      There are links to official lists for Tokyo & Kyoto markets in the description box of all my videos. Also, if you Google "antique markets and flea markets in Tokyo" for example in English, more information will come up. Enjoy your visit to Japan😊
