  • Today we're at the Ajinomoto Stadium BIG Flea in the Chofu area. The market is open from 10am-3pm with a 300yen entry fee (1,000yen for early bird entry from 8-10am).
Scheduling varies so best to do a Google Search (in English) to see if it's on that month.
It's especially good at this market if you're looking to thrift clothing.
However, as always, my mission is to search for home decor and interesting Japanese antique and vintage items.
Estimated prices noted in USD($) are from the exchange rate in 2024.
(USD prices are added for ease of converting into your own currency)
Thank you so much for watching and hope you enjoy the content🥰

Oh -- just loved everything! I am absolutely glued to the screen as you speak. Still planning my autumn trip to Tokyo so really appreciate all your insights into the collectible world there. Much more affordable than I imagined, which is really lovely I think.

OH MY GODDDD those square things connected by elastic thread - I had them growing up in Poland in the 80s/early 90s! That brought back some memories.

Oooooh wow they had them in Poland too?! Thanks for confirming that!😊Love how entertainment was so simple yet effective back in the 80s & 90s🤩

There's a new retirement plan - a Tokyo thrift shop which I only open it when I feel like it!🙂 Don't underestimate how much people would enjoy seeing places they can't visit Michelle, most people will never have the opportunity to go to Japan. Although feel free to keep some of your thrifting to yourself!

Hahaha I know right? What an excellent way to do life! There are some "open when they only feel like it" tiny local eateries too!😊Thank you so much for your kind comment and advice Sue!😍
