  • Hello, Garden lovers! I am so excited to finally show you what I have been working on since spring - the almost finished Butterfly Garden. Here are the plants that I did not have info on at the time of filming: the lime colored fern is a Japanese Holly fern (Certomium falcatum). It grows in zone 6 a 10 to about 24 inches all around. The also yellowish grass-like plant by the path is an Acorus ‘Ogon’ Acorus gramineus. It grows to about 10x8 tall and wide. It is also used in water gardens so it will need lots of water in my non-bog/water garden. The Heuchera with lime lettuce like leaves is called Heuchera Twist of lime. The name goes well with the Hosta Margarita, if you asked me 😂 The fern that I thought to be a Japanese painted fern is in fact a Japanese painted fern called Athyrium niponicum 'Godzilla’. It’s called Godzilla because it grows bigger than the other varieties, about 5-3 feet tall and wide with arching leaves in zones 5-9.
If you have any questions on the other plants, please let me know in the comments and I will gladly supply you the answer. Thanks for touring my new Butterfly garden with me today. Hope you have a good weekend and hope to see you again soon somewhere down the garden path
