Wow, I've been playing golf for 33 years now and this is the first block of instruction that I've seen that actually explains the feeling you should have at setup and the shoulder turn in a way that I was able to comprehend. Such a beautifully explained video. Awesome job. I am now a subscriber. Thank you Coach Carolin!
Hello Carolyn. This issue of over swinging has been a problem for me for years, the problem I have is turning your shoulders to your right foot, being a right handed player, I find it makes me sway to the right but turning on a centre makes me come over the top. Anyway happy new year I await your reply. Tony
One question about the coil. At the 4:20 timestamp, when you were showing the lead shoulder over the trail foot your head moved laterally by several inches away from its initial position during the set up. Is this correct? It seems like when I was younger, I used to do this but now I have at lot more success when I keep my head extremely still. Not sure if this is limiting my coil though. I used to wear contacts, but now I wear glasses, so I don’t see as well as I used to. I’m not sure that I would ever be able to shift my vision that much because my contact really suffers when I do.
the head can move back a little bit during the backswing, Nelly Kordas even does so. We shift our weight to our back foot slightly in the backswing so its only natural to let the head follow a little. This here is a dry drill and as we all know we need to exaggerate to be anywhere near this in the real swing!
When I was young, my golf coach told me that once I developed a proper golf swing, I would play better and golf would be so much funnier. However, it took me about four years to slow down, learn, and begin to understand. But when I started to get it, I remember thinking how right he was.
-no casting of trailing shoulder -nasty trailing hand must must stay (in dorsal pos) behind leading hand until 'delivery' is reached (when aligned parallel to ball-target-line) Mr Foley offers a carbon-cradle for only $ 170 USD to maintain contact.
Wait ….move ,sway over back foot ..? Ill try it , but every other coach says or wants turn to be around the core without a sway like that ..maybe i misunderstood, ill rewatch .🤦🏼♂️✌️

@@coachcarolin You’re welcome.
Great video. Your fitness is fantastic. There is a huge amount of core involved in simply moving forward without pushing the butt back.
Such a good move to practice over the winter. Carolyn, I love your videos. You make things so simple. Glad you are talking.
Thank you so much!
Thank you So Much from France
Well explained. I can vouch for it because I learnt this after playing wrong for 20 years.

Love your videos. Good luck with the move and thanks for the awesome tips!
Thank you! I appreciate your support!
Game changer tip, thanks! GoPro from your perspective would be nicer for these type of tips.
Shouldn’t the body be getting the weight forward into the lead forefoot during the backswing ready to post and initiate the downswing?
