This is not a great video to watch, as it skips many details that can only be followed in the manual. I would like to see a TAKE 2, with a full instructional video on all steps from doing hardness test to completion.
Which one is the IN pipeline or the OUT pipeline from the wall? Which one should be connected with the outlet on the water softener? Can you explain or send the photo?
Running the water discharge line directly into a drain hole is totally against "code." Needs to be via a p-trap with an "air gap" arrangement above it to prevent sewer water backup from getting sucked into the home water system.
My 2 year old 400t is making my tap water very salty after a regeneration cycle. The injector assembly is clean and my water pressure stays at 40psi during the regeneration cycle. I don’t see any excess water in brine cabinet.
The owners manuals are written for professional installers. For example, fill with salt. To where? Is there a fill line? Mine was professionally installed, but never went into a regeneration cycle and is now not putting out soft water so will need to call service.
How do I disinfect with bleach like it says in the book? How do I dump it directly into the brine tank? There is no access..I don't want to dump into the cabinet
My system is installed. Its on "Service", I got Power running through, I followed the steps of regeneration, filled it up w/salt pellets, set the hardness level, obviously turned the main water line on, but the gallons stay the same?! Whats going on? Ive monitored it for 2 weeks now and no change to the gallons
@@MrCreed145 weird thing though, my water level in the reservoir is going down, and tested the water in sink and the the softness level has changed on the strips, but the # on the screen hasnt changed. What have u done so far
@@jayda3335 sounds like it's working then but just the counting meter is busted. Hit regen your self every couple days then 🤷♂️ I'm going to call them I just keep forgetting.
I have the 350 version and it comes with a little digital circle unit (like 2” diameter, 3/4” width) magnet that has a 90 day indicator you can stick to your fridge or next to your water softener unit. The light i believe will blink indicating “low salt level”, i just installed the unit about a week ago but seems to do a pretty good job.

I’m sure this is a marketing video and is meant to cover the high level of this product line

That isn’t what is shown here. As far as anyone knows, there is an air gap and/or that pipe doesn’t connect to the sewage system.

How do you clean the AO smith water softener?
How do you know what softness you need? What should it be set at?
I got a water report from the local water company. It gave the hardness and test data for our local water. You could also test it yourself.
what about the wifi??????
how do we find out what hardness to set it to
you need to either do a test yourself or get your water company report with those values
Does A.O. Smith 35,000 have a low salt indicator option?
yes, an indicator light will blink
@@SB-ob3cz thanks. Does the softener have a cleanser brine?
